Tourist Trophy - Gran Turismo with bikes!

This looks pretty sick.

Polyphony Digital goin' two-wheelin'

Development team behind the wheel of Gran Turismo franchise throttling up motorcycle game Tourist Trophy.

When it comes to racing simulators, few series can compete on the same track as Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo franchise. The games are renowned for their ability to re-create an authentic four-wheeled racing experience for car fetishists who like to tinker under the hood.

Many fans of the meticulous developer expected to see it represented at this year's Tokyo Game Show, perhaps with a showing of Vision Gran Turismo for the PlayStation 3 or the well-guarded Gran Turismo Mobile for the PSP. What fans didn't expect was the announcement of the developer's latest game, Tourist Trophy.

The new game explores a different world of racing--that of the two-wheeled variety. According to Japanese retail sources, the motorcycle simulator will be exclusive to the PlayStation 2 and is scheduled to ship in Japan in the fourth quarter of this year. Sony has not made any announcements about a North American release.

Gamers who couldn't make the trip to Japan this year can race onto the Internet for a bit of information on the game. Sony has launched a teaser Web page (in Japanese), and GameSpot has a trailer for the game.

It looks like a fun game to rent, but I am a little disappointed with Polyphony lately. No skid marks, no damage. If I am able to dump a bike at 190mph and just pick it up and continue, I quit. It does look like another visually stunning game though.

Visually stunning yes........worth wasting money on to buy no. After watching a video for the game after I was done watching it all I could think about is how some people are going to be like YES!!!! This is going to be awesome!!! But looking at the cars from the video disappoints me because its the same cars from the original game and then some added race cars. This will blow just like GT4 did. Forza > then GT anything

Yea it would be cool if it had damage and death. Well not death, but if there was a career mode, perhaps if u crashed hard enough your career would end, and you would have to sart over.Would make it more realistic. haha. i will def. be renting it tho if it ever reaches the states.
