Question concerning parole and court charges

Ok so my friend got charged with 3 felonys about 2 years ago. He served a few days in jail. 3 months of house arrest and he is still on parole until feb 08.

Now he lost he job and applied at a local store which didnt hire him because of his record. They sent him a copy in the mail. It said:

Charge 1 : (i wont list his charge) Found Guilty on 3/7/06
Charge 2 : (i wont list his charge) Found Guilty on 3/7/06
Charge 3 : (i wont list his charge) Found Guilty on 3/7/06

then

Charge 4 : (Same charge desc. as charge one) Dismissed ; Withdrawn on 3/7/06
Charge 5 : (Same charge desc. as charge two) Dismissed ; Withdrawn on 3/7/06
Charge 6 : (Same charge desc. as charge three) Dismissed ; Withdrawn on 3/7/06

What does this mean? Where his charges dropped and dismissed?

If so why did he have to serve minor jail time, house arrest and parole?

And is there a chance of some paperwork error and accidently was placed in jail and got put on HA/Pa? And if this is true, is there a lawsuit he can pursue?

FYI: This is in PA and was the Doylestown Court House.

If you are confused, just lemme know il try to word it better. But basically it listed 3 charges, then right under that listed those charges all dropped.

He may have been charged with two counts of the same charge and the court dismissed one count each in order to make his plea deal... THis should have all been explained to him by his lawyer.

Since you didn't say what crime I can'r give you a direct answer... But I can say that some crimes can be charged more then once. If you assault more then one person each assault can be a charge. I could also be human error the charging officer just made a mistake and charged the same crime twice or the computer went down and he retyped it and the 1st complaint was docketed too. There are lots of reasons why two charges where docketed a only one was charged.
