thieves will ruin anything decent.

Firstly i live in the small "safe" town of denver, small population, little crime etc...

my brother and i bought this house together and we're young yet so we're very proud of ourselves and how much working hard and staying out of trouble pays off for us.

we have hardly anything valuable in the house but they took what was i guess.

we discoverd when we got home from work today that sometime during the day

$500 in cash.

an x box and all accessories

and many xbox games were stolen from our home.

most of the house looks untouched otherwise.... they left tvs, dvd players, my computer, my credit cards, and check books.... i guess they took easy stuff. and got lucky with finding the cash

however they did break the door to a locked bedroom off of the hinges .. only to take nothing from it.

we are too trusting and dont normally lock our doors.... and it has costed us a good bit, and we feel violated/ betrayed.

the local police were very kind (my dad came over and happened to know the officer that showed up well)

but basically we're just out the money and stuff.

im more upset that someone just came into my home, and rummaged through it taking what they wanted. i feel violated, and hurt...what is this world coming to?

ill be locking every door well now, and im worried that they'll come back for more, im a small guy.... very small, i cant fight, never have and i dont believe in guns so in kind of up ****creek if someone breaks in while im home :-/

thanks for reading.

i just needed to vent.

-Jason

Sorry to hear. Does your homeowners policy cover theft, or is the deductible to the point where it's not worth it?

Invest in some electronic deadbolts! They make locking doors easy, and you need no keys.

Hey man it's alright, at least you weren't harmed, and at least you still have your home, ya know?

All the more reason to practice sharp shooting, skeet, archery, and competitive javelin-throwing.

Since you're against guns, I suggest a bat. I've heard the smaller aluminum bats are best to use for beating on someone.

trust or no trust, protect your ****... I dont leave anything unlocked, i'll lock my car door when i get out to use an ATM.
It baffles me, specially now a days that people dont lock there doors. We live in the generation of 13 yo pregnancies, youth violence and self population control. My mom is ignorant to the fact that society is goin down hill also, the other day we heard gun shots and she was excited about fireworks.

I agree. If you don't want to enroll in a class and would just like to learn some self defense tactics I would be more then happy to show you some things
