WOW.. uhh...

hours and hours on the phone for licences, permits, insurance, etc..

working capital... a.k.a. lots of money. cashflow is everything.

a firm business plan for the first 3 years

a trustworthy accountant and lawyer

excellent credit. no way to get around that one.

plenty of experience in the industry you're trying to get into.

plan to be an on-site owner, you can't be an off-site owner and expect things to take care of themselves, especially at first.

you MUST know EVERY DAY of the year, what exactly it costs just to unlock the front door in the morning. every penny has to be tracked and every last expense has to be taken into account.

this is just the beginning. there is so much more to starting a business than most people could possibly understand.

Be happy that you are only writing a paper on the issue. It can be a painful process.
