Turbo XS’s External Wastegate Uppipe will give you significantly better boost control over an internal wastegate setup. The Turbo XS EWG uppipe is perfect if you using a stock-flanged, stock-location big turbo but require more precise boost control than an internal wastegate can offer. The uppipe is flanged for a Tial 44mm external wastegate (not included) or equivalent, and includes an external dump tube that is a direct exit into the atmosphere when the wastegate opens. The Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe will result in more power throughout the rpm range as steady boost pressures will no longer be an issue. Please note that turbos setup for internal wastegates will need to have the system disabled to properly use this uppipe.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
# The Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe does not work with bellmouth downpipes (including Turbo XS’s 4” bellmouth downpipe). You will need to use Turbo XS’ NON-Bellmouth Downpipe sold separately or an hks downpipe.
# The uppipe will fit with a stock downpipe, but heatshield trimming is required.
# This uppipe MAY work with some flat-flanged aftermarket downpipes, at this point this is untested and we will not accept returns for fitment issues with other brands of downpipe.
# If you are using a turbo that already has an internal wastegate (stock WRX/STi), it will need to be disabled. The most common method is to weld the opening shut.
# Due to the capability to run much higher boost levels, professional installation, tuning, engine management and fuel system upgrades are required.
# This uppipe does not include a wastegate.
# The system is set up to vent the wastegate exhaust to atmosphere welding would be required to route it into the downpipe.
