He could try. But Im sure Newark Airport has a nice set of lawyers on retainer for things like this. If he did try thou I would have him look for another job because they will be watching him everytime he burps or farts the wrong way for reason to get rid of him. I know its not legal but they always find ways around that stuff.

****, I just got a cut from a bus I was working on. There was no sign on it saying sharp edges. They looked jagged, but I thought they were dull. Can I sue?

I tripped on my shoelaces, can I sue the shoe manufacturer.

your boy should take as many pictures of the lot and and the area he was hurt. take these pics to a lawyer for a consultation...let him/her decide whether he has a case not the 5000+ goofballs on TST (myself included) and as far as an employer blacklist that is b.s. if a employer doesnt hire you b/c you have sued a previous employer he is leaving himself open to a lawsuit, the exception being if for the past 3+ jobs you have sued 3+ employers then a company has just cause not to hire you

Also it depends on how many people are employed for the company 15 or less and your case gets weaker and weaker over 15 ppl and govt. has more involvment so certain safety precautions should be set

i hope he realises that if he does file a lawsuit with his work he will be blacklisted as stated above a buddy of mine had a "slip and fall" case where he fell and twisted his back ina weird way when he was working at an infinity dealership he filed a lawsuit against the dealership for something stupid and lost the case and his job now he cant find work (even as a fully cert'd tech) anywhere because of the lawsuit

ask him if the pothole he fell on just came out of nowhere

ask him if it was there before

if the pothole was dug by an employee specifically for him to fall in then sue

if not tell him to not be a puss and realise that no matter where you work he is always in an environment where he could get hurt hell i work in a cubicle i could trip on myself and slam my head into my desk but who would be liable??? certainly not my company......... i could sneeze and hit my hand on my chair and break my hand (<<< is a very violent sneezer) so should i sue the chair company??? once again we find the dumbing down of society rearing its ugly head

They will not be sueing his job since he just works for the fueling company and that company has nothing to do with the pavement. They will be going after Port Authority and Jet Blue.
