Some of you guys are wrong, saying you still have to hit the ball. anabolic steroids actually make your hand eye coordination better. Now I'm not saying, he did or didn't do them.. I don't care. A LOT of players abused steroids in the mid to late 90's.. we just don't know all of who did it. So I think it's pretty even. I think it's a good story.. but it won't last long, A-Rod will pass him.. then my man Ryan Howard will pass all of them!

ha and before it was A-Rod who was fastest. but since this is a thread about bonds, lets stay there. i dont like bonds, i never have and i never will. however, i cannot deny the fact that early in his career when he was stealing 40 bases and hitting 40 home runs that wasnt something to behold. now, since his mighty fast progression of getting bigger and stronger, and the accusations of steroid use, he has not stolen nearly as many bases but he continues to hit more and more home runs as well as accumulating more injuries. yes i know hes older and injuries come with age, however, if his workout routine is as intense as people say, those injuries would be avoidable if he were not using steroids. ie, hamstring and joint problems. ever since he started getting bigger his entire way of playing the game has changed. he went from being a threat at the plate and on the basepaths to becoming just a threat at the plate. take a look at ricky henderson who was an amazing base stealer and he could hit for power. i'd say early in his career bonds was similar to henderson and now he's at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. i think its fair to say that we're all going to have to agree to disagree at some point but thats how i feel about the situation *

Steroids, as mentioned, beef your muscles, but not everything else. Therefore, you have super weak joints/ligaments/tendons which tend to give out from the mass. If you work out hard to get that big, all of those will grow in proportion with your muscle.

Bonds + steroids = true.

Yessir. If he can have a workout that's putting THAT much mass on him that fast, it's gotta be one hell of a workout. Which means, all connecting tissues should be as beefy as his muscles. He proves it consistently that they're not. Meaning he's not working out to get his ****.

All it is is entertainment Every sport in america, There are millions of people who can play the sport among others just as good if not better and they dont, Yet we pay these guys millions of dollars to play a sport because we want to watch it...Yeah I'm a big sports fan and yeah I get into it but face it Bonds doesnt give a **** what you think or what you say, He's in the record books and he's a Millionaire...Get over it

Calling Bonds a suckass player... You have your opinion on the matter about him using steroids, Fine. But you CANT take away the fact that throughout his MLB career he has become a helluva player and knows how to hit the baseball.

yeah that hefty "brace" on his arm doesnt add any mass to his swing.
it also has a locking mechanism to keep his arm straight during his follow through thus aiding in a better swing.
