Anyone know how to dispute a loan?
I was going to buy a new car but couldn't until this loan was settled, and now i've lost Dodge's $3500 cash back incentive and i'm pissed. I want to not pay the bank now but wasn't sure how to use the lein release against them. Anyone ever have this problem?

I'm going to try and write to the credit companies and send them a copy of the lien release first. If that doesn't work i'll get a lawyer. The bank is not going to "destroy" me, but they are doing everything they can to make me angry.

You're making Tiny angry...you wouldn't like Tiny when he's angry...
Couldn't you use the notorized lein release to show them when you were buying the new car?

How much time have you waited???
Often, to complete the process of paying off, it will take over a month. A month is a normal cycle date. Otherwise, it's just weird that they sent you the title and lien release withOUT taking the money out. Tell them that you already have the title and release, and I bet they will get moving. |

Definantly don't take it for granted. Make sure they get their money.
They WILL sue you for it even though you have a lein release. More than likely they will get their money. I have had a similar situation happen to me with my house, and the mortgage company ended up suing me for $75K. It turned out that they filed a satisfaction instead of a sold/transfer when they sold my loan to another mortgage company. They thought they never got their money and tried to get it from me. In the end the suit was expunged from my records, and all was well when they realised the mistake was on their end. That was the day I was truely grateful that my wife works at a law firm. All of this happened about 2 years after they originaly made their mistake. So it may take a while, but they will catch up to it eventually. Last edited by blu4door; 07-30-2007 at 12:13 AM. |
