Noob here
Born and raised in jersey, currently a Pennsylvanian (first Roxborough, now Doylestown). I was always interested in cars, but really got into it with my most recent. I had a 98 Grand Prix GTP coupe. Intake, some exhaust, PCM, smaller pulley, plus some other small stuff. ![]() I just sold it a couple weeks ago. 9+ years old and just shy of 130k...time to move on! I miss her though... I've decided on a RSX Type S as the best choice in my price range. Not the fastest car out the box, but I intend to do some work on it, and from test driving it will be fun enough to drive (although the mod bug will of course infect). Also, maybe I'm getting old, but I like the idea of having a nice car that performs well, instead of a bare bones car that performs great.

funny you mention it, wrx was my first choice for a long time, but in the end the rsx won out. Less performance out of the box, but still fun to drive, very nice interior with lots of standard features, and they're going a little cheaper. Very good gas mileage and low emissions sealed the deal. i also checked out previous gen vw gti's, both the 1.8t and the vr6. I liked driving them and the interiors were nice, but i've just heard too much about random problems with them. I also felt like it ran out of gears too quickly. also checked out the cobalt ss/sc. I was very surprised with the interior, although it felt a little tight. However, although i know numbers-wise it beats out the rsx, it didn't feel as fun to drive.
