well, got my hands dirty with some electrical stuff, rewired the headlights, installed new motors and relays, now the headlights work and go up and down...also wired up the fogs, chrome fog grills, and painted from end

http://media.putfile.com/Picture-050-27

figured now was a good time to scrub down the front trunk and clean out all the Fing dirt, i have never seen so much dirt in my life...also recarpeted the trunk so its nice and neat now, you can see where i cleaned and where i didnt...ill wait to do that section till i pull the gas tank to install new lines...

little update...
had to replace the rear trunk hinges and mouting brackets...you can see in the first pic that the rear trunk was out of wack due to the bracket ripping off the car...

now its pouyfect! also replaced rear trunk seal and engine compartment seal and added gas shocks to the trunk and got rid of torsion bars...

next was to replace all the fuel lines, fuel pump, relocate fuel pump, clean out front compartment, new heater and blower tubes...

i did not want to take any chances with 34 year old plastic and fuel running through the car, this will also allow me to run a subaru fuel pump "in line" when the time comes...

start

tank out

clean...somewhat (i kinda gave up and focused more on getting the car done)

pump relocated to front of car and out of "hell hole" in the rear of car ( the hell hole is a really bad spot in the back of the car where the pump is located and gets so hot from the engine it gets vapor lock and the car shuts down...so in 74+ they relocated the pump to the front, so i figured i mine as well do the same...

old fuel lines and new fuel lines (these run through the center of the car...ones in engine bay are being repalced also...

that is about it, the lines are in, i have to run wire to fuel pump, put tank back in, finish lines in engine bay, then get her back on the ground...

all back together, thanks to shamus coming over to lend a hand saturday, everything is buttoned up and running good...next is rotors, pads, lines, and calipers...and a full fluid flush...trying to make it up to waterfest the 21st...

heater and blower tubes are not isntalled yet, when car gets repainted all that stuff will be removed and all you will see is the gas tank...no need for heat!

finally got around to installing the steering wheel, i fubared the install and broke the horn wire off so i need to soder it back on...it was such a PIA to install...they sent me the wrong horn ring holder thing, so i had to make my own and bend and cut a whole bunch of metal...

installed new window seals and end caps along with front runk seal, fender seal, taillight seal, trying to get affordable seals out of the way, some of these seals go into the 350$ range for ONE seal...hahaha

just a quick shot of the new brakes front and rear...mmmmmmm

holy cow porsche brakes are expensive!
