passing inspection, obd2 car with abs light on?
since all cars did not have abs, do they look for it? if i remove the bulb, will it pass? the car otherwise is 100% stock (besides a coilover suspension which i will have to raise up :P the faster the input the better! thanks

I had a car that passed NJ state inspection with the ABS light removed.

The ABS light will not fail your for PA state inspection. ABS is not required to be working on your car for safety or emissions, however, your regular service brakes need to be in working condition.
Any other questions?

Yep. On another note you are supposed to fail with SRS lights being on, but shops rarely do it.

I wonder if it (your eclipse) passed because it was pre-obd2?

I gotta grab my book but I do believe you wont fail for ABS but will fail for SRS. I just cant remember if there was a change on that or not. I never failed a car for an ABS light but I know the SRS light is a failure being its a required safety system.

PA's emissions laws are more strict than Jersey.
Won't matter. Only if the SRS, SES or CEL is on and a code is set.
