I hope you are or know a good fiberglass guy. Those panel gaps and fitment are a bit rough out of the box. Should come out nicely though once it is fitted and cleaned up and painted.

Thanks....I think alot of the gaps look worse because of the mismatched colors....but yeah you are right

Also, some pictures with my Work Emotions on....just to see how flush the wheels are

Fronts are a bit sunken....also, need an alignment, and springs aren't perfectly settled after jacking up the car, so it will sit a bit lower up front:

Seaps, the car needs more CAMBER!!!!!!

You need to run a wider wheel/lower offset combo with a super stretched tire to get that 240 look.

Its lookin good. I was wondering if you ever swapped the Sr20 in. You were doing it what the day after the AutoX at boeing when Nick and E swapped hoods and we never heard if you did it or not. Looks like the car is coming along well

the wide fenders don't look too bad in the front, but IMO you need to match them in the rear or at least give the rears a good pull/roll. the wide fronts have that mild natural pull outward and the rears stock are just blah, same as the S13's. while you've got all that body work going on anyway, rent or borrow a fender roller and pull those bishes out!

Not a bad idea.....they are pulled a bit....when i rolled them original, i really put alot of weight into it.....

I'm just not a big fan of the huge 50mm overfender look in the rear, but thanks for the opinion

Also, D....I am going for functionality

Running like 245s on a 10 inch rim (quite stretched) is not what i am going for....

what's the point of wider rims without utilizing the traction you can get from a properly fit tire

....purely for looks....exactly

The wheels arent that sunk. I think it looks straight, as long as the rears arent sunk, but if you space the fronts then you must space the rears and get a nice pull on the rear fenders. I like to see people doing thier own work.

Oh yeah over fenders look stupid on S14's.

(Stretched tires = stiffer sidewall = easier and more predictable breakaway)

My vote gors for rear widebody.... not a riveted boxy shape but something that brings out more of a curve on the rear quarter panel....

Picture for reference......

The rim fitment doesn't look bad at all to me and I can appreciated your need for things to be functional even if it isn't the tight JDM style that most go for even if it sacrifices performance.

Thanks for all the comments

Everything is completely done now, except for the following:

Need a good grille (i.e. not a cheap one from China like the crappy one i have now)

Need eyelids/OEM rubber for above headlights

Need to bolt on side skirts tomorrow

In the below pictures, the sideskirts are not bolted down at all....just being held on by the doors..

I'm really happy with the fact that the bumper is snug tight up against the underside of the headlights and what not

This has taken way longer than I thought it would, but has been well worth the ~30 hours I've spent....never used a Dremmel tool so much in my life!

What were you saying again about overfenders looking like junk of s14s?

Honestly the fitment wasn't looking half bad until the last picture you posted with the CR Kai's on. Then you can see how off it will be when you have the front bumper on to finish it to.

Also like someone else said that I never even thought of mentioning, you do need some sort of pull to go with wide front fenders.....looks weird if you only do a roll and minor minor minor pull in the rear.

Oh yeah....based on how NOT concaved in (i.e. weaker offset) those works are on that Red S14, it looks like in order to be flush front and back like that he is running spacers

In that case, i give it an F

Spacers are weaksauce and also mostly for looks IMO (used to push wheels out, but doesnt make contact patch any better)

First, it looks red on my computer
Second, what offset is it that is better....only 18x9.5 come in +12, so if they are 18x9.5s +12, then they are 0.5 inches wider (but with stretched tire, probably same traction) and stick out roughly 11mm more than mine

Wow I am impressed.

Also, I still hate spacers...as far as making the wheels look PROPER, then yes, it is not weaksauce, if looks are more important to the person that performance

I'd rather just buy a +0 than run +15 with a 15 mm spacer

I feel like in general, people use spacers to make ****ty week offset wheels look wider and flusher

Anyway, I seriously don't know why you are so passionate about my car...it amazes me

Everyone has their own opinions....if I had infinite money right now, sure I would buy perfectly fitting wheels, but for now I am content with these....looks good enough for me

gayest arguement ever....

Its like bench racing wheel offsets....and still nobody wins.

Edit: None of the pictures youre showing are actually your car anyway.... At least I thought you would have experience.....

what offset are you running Jjeager?

Hahahahaha ok end of debate

I jsut don't consider buying a body kit, when my CURRENT wheels might not fit it EXACTLY to be an "error"

It's called i can make it look better later
