i'd recommend going to VP's site and seeing who their distributors are, they sell a quality grade of meth. if you want to do 50/50 you can mix it with distilled water from the food store.
link to the site is http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp_01_fuels.html and at the very bottom they have their M1 and M3 methanols listed.

K&G Speed Shop in Broomall carries VP methanol and just about every other type of fuel you could need. I was there about a week ago and they had at least a 55gal drum of VP meth. They're on West Chester Pike/Rt 3 just about 1/4mi west of the I-476 Blue Route interchange area; phone: 610-359-1616

oh and while we're on the subject, dont buy a 55 gallon drum and plan to store it for a long time... meth absorbs water over time and will result in an inconsistency with what you're putting into your car.
5 gallons of meth = 10 gallons of 50/50 mix = about 10 fillups at the gas station, depending on how you drive and how you have your system set up of course. thats plenty for me to get at a time.

You can store meth for a while in a proper container that is opened as little as possible. Water diluted meth starts to get a yellowish tinge and looks like loudmouth. 93 93/93 |

Even if you do have it for a little while and it absorbs some water, it should not be that big a deal since you are not using it as your primary fuel source.
You are only spraying it, so the actual consistency should not change very much anyway. And since you aren't using it as your primary fuel source, then you won't need a 55 gallon drum anyway. Just get a 5 gallon drum. You should only need to refull every 3-4 months. Of course it depends on your setup as well. |

We should have a group buy on a 55gal drum.
It is sooo much cheaper to buy it this way as the hazmat charge is the same. From what I have seen, Sunoco has a little cheaper fuel grade Methanol compared to VP. Hydroscopy is not much of an issue as stated above since you are already mixing it 50/50 with water to begin with and realistically, there is not a huge difference from say 30% to 50% meth. The window is pretty large with respect to using it as a in-cylinder cooling agent because water has a much higher specific heat compared to the Meth. I need some too. Bill
