if you have a relationship with someone and something like this happens, you should be able to tell that person everything. And if its not your fault, and you are not cheating than you should have nothing to worry about. Its about trust, and if she trusts you than there is no problem. But if you get heat for this, than sorry there is no trust and your with the wrong girl. And thats the truth

I was gonna say to tell her -- but y'know, after a few minutes of thinking, I dunno.

I mean, I sure don't tell my boyfriend about all the random advances I get. I work as a waitress, so there's the comments from customers. And even from my coworkers, there's innuendos and when they get bold enough, the occassional grab. I never respond to any of it, but it does happen -- but I don't go telling B about it. There isn't much point.

So on the same note .. This girl has made innuendos and has now gotten bold enough to make a silly comment on a card. I really think you'll be fine either way. But I think the BEST choice would be to show her the card -- and make a joke out of it. I know that's what both B and I do whenever there's some kinda distinct 'outside flirtation'. And then we laugh over it.

BUT we're able to laugh over it because we trust each other. If your girl is still recovering from trust issues .. eeeh. I still say show her and make it into a joke, or at least TRY to make it into a joke. Showing the card to her will be a great show of honesty and openness .. and if you make it into a joke, it shows that you don't take any kind of flirtation from other females (even more stupid/blatant things like <3 always) seriously at all. And that will help her, even if she reacts badly at first. She might have the initial 'Groar stupid other girl grooooar!' response .. but give her brain five minutes to catch up, and I bet she'll be happy you did.

meh, I just tossed the card in the trash with the one I got from the temp employee who I knew all of a day and gave me a brownie, balloons, and an organizer (along with her e-mail on the card). She saw them both, was annoyed with the temp employee because she was out of line...and she was and is gonna write her an e-mail thanking her for the brownie lol.

The other chick in the office with the "heart always" isn't any kind of big deal compared to gifts from a complete stranger lol.

yeah, id like to have said to show her the card and be honest like you were going to do, and its nice... and weird, to know that guys openly talk about being honest and faithful to their gfs (when talking about it to other guys lol).

But I think in your case, you kind of did the right thing by just trashing it. I was cheated before and that caused me to be insecure in the next relationship, so i an see where your gf's proabably at. And given that you see this girl everyday, and you truely have no intentions to do anything, then it was probably best to spare your gf the jealously and paranoia that she might have gotten from the card, just knowing that you see the girl everyday might have worried her. So good job for throwin it out! lol
