1994 Prelude... H22A > F22 !!

94 Prelude.. Boyertown, PA

hey guys, thought i'd come to the proper place and introduce myself. my name's mitch, i'm from the pottstown area of PA. for the past 2 years of so i've owned my 1994 Honda Prelude and i've been building it up as clean as i can. I'm definitely into the enthusiast side of sport compacts.. can't stand rice.. and i pretty much love all makes and models. you know how when you drive by another nice car and stare at it and think 'holy &!^#&*!!', that car's amazing!' and wonder if anyone looks at your car like that? well yep i'm one of those guys, and i appreciate every car that's done right! haha.

the 'lude is all black, with a bare CF hood. yes the hood pins are functional haha (i made the mistake of buying a cheap hood that didn't include a latch). wheels are 17" TenzoR RS5's. front lip is designed for an accord, mugen style. sides and rear valences are JDM Value Sport.

as for the engine and all that good stuff, basically it's a stock JDM H22A swap. 5 speed LSD trans, intake, header, APEXi World Sport exhaust (sounds almost completely stock ). I have all the necessary parts to completely build the motor, but i'm waiting to see if i'm even going to keep the car before i go through all the work to build it. we'll see how that goes.

here's a few pics to share. i hope to be here for a while, you guys have made an awesome site here, hopefully i can contribute!

thanks for the compliments

i usually get lots of looks and compliments, etc. but it's usually from other honda guys only. it's so refreshing to see positive words from SRT-4 guys, eclipse guys, and everything else. other forums aren't as 'accommodating' haha. i'll definitely be sticking around for a while!

Loserkid: not sure that i have, there's lots of multicolored CRX's around here but 99% of them are stock, falling apart, and with a fart can bolted on. haha. somehow i don't think that would accurately describe yours! (checked your 'my TST garage')

It is refreshing to see a non-rice prelude of that generation. I see so much crap up here its nuts...

Nice car, well done. Just done right in all aspects.

Welcome to TST.

I'm a boyertown dweller too. I was beating around my teal 3rd gen integra for a while, you might have seen it around...it was slammed, and kinda loud. My friend has it now, and lives in town, and soon it will be boosted under his abusive ownership.

I currently drive a little 95 VX EG, teal too, and it's quiet (I have a WS2 exhaust also.) and lowered.

I'll look for you around!

LOL yyea most of the Hondas around here are like that but there are a few nice ones...mine just looks lowered and stock and like its falling apart...it acctually hasn't seen the road for a little while now...

Your Lude is very nice I'll keep an eye out for it around town, if you see a stock Black Mazdaspeed Protege feel free to wave!

Thank you for keeping it clean. There are too many people out there that simply screw up the looks of the Prelude (and other Hondas.)

Welcome to the site.

4th but who's counting anyway?

thanks again for all the compliments guys. anyone going out to the West Chester meet on Sunday?? I'll be there with a few friends, one of which is really into photography (he's the one who took the pics, although these aren't really all that special). he says he'll be looking forward to roaming with the cam and getting some good shots. anyone else going?

Do you still have the F22 vtec motor anymore (if it was a vtec motor that is)? My friend is looking to swap a vtec headed f22 into his 5th gen accord.

nah, it was the P.O.S. F22 SOCH non-VTEC that came in the car. it is technically a Prelude "S", which is the bottom of the line but i've put in every factory option that came in the Si VTEC. sorry man.

Well thanks anyway. I found a few of the vtec F series motors in the junkyard lately, so we shouldn't have a hard time finding one for him.
