ok so im trying to connect my media center pc to my xbox 360... and the xbox displays a screen that says go to "www.xbox.com/pcsetup"... so i go there and it says you need "update rollup 2" ... which im assuming is service pack 2... which i already have... so i called microsoft about it... the guy i talked to was OBVIOUSLY reading prompts... and he said i had the option to either call HP or talk to a technician for 59 ****ING DOLLARS!?... i was like 59 bucks for some asshole whos not garaunteed to fix my problem.. you gotta be kidding me..

so ... any of you have any ideas on what to do?

yea i had to do the same. i had to DL some patch from xboxlive and in the end i never got it to work. it see's my PC and my PC see's my xbox but i cant play any media through it or anything

Honestly, I gotta say, complaining to someone who IS trying to help you isn't the best method of trying to get an issue resolved. I work in a helpdesk, and I deal with a lot of people who do this, and it does hinder what we do, and also it annoys the PISS out of us.

That being said, I have gotten this to work, even with Windows XP. I did it with an update from Media Player, and and it seemed to allow me to stream all my MP3s, and MPG videos. Just doesnt allow me to do so with divx, or any other video extension.

its not a person bro... its a prompt... it detects certain things that you are saying and analyzes them... i work in operations at my company.. aka teir 2 support.. i know the drill

well i got it to see the music via the microsoft media sharing thing on the pc, it wont see video or pictures tho.

It should show the pictures but the videos will not work unless your cpu have windows media center.

not true i have xp , and i play videos, listen to music and play photo slide shows from my pc on the xbox. The only thing i find that it is picky about it that the videos need to be in the myvideos folder, the music in my music pictures in mypictures.
