havent updated on here in a while, well the original engine we had orders had a crack in the block, so we ordered a brand new rebuilt block for $4k. looks very clean just needs to be broken in pics up on tuesday or wednesday. this month i have had soooooo much bad luck w/ cars, this engine swap has taken way too long, i think getting it on tuesday, which is the first of the month is actually a good thing, starting fresh

i read an ariticle in a recent issue of sport compact car and was inspired
http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...ra_rsx_s_turbo
i was looking into a summer project to keep me busy. i want to look into the pros and cons of this and what i am going to get myself into. the basic idea is to cut the shape out and bend it down. the only cons i can think of are cracking of the paint when cutting, bending issues, and clearance between the bottom of the inlet and the engine (or above the intake where it will be) i would assume a carbon fiber hood would be easier to do this on due to its pliability, but if i were to get a plain cf hood i would just go with the gt-four hood if i were to spend money. i just wnat to try it on my oem

here is an example on a miata

haha yeah i know just wanted more air flow to the intake. the project on the rsx was easier b/c it was a cf hood so they didnt have to worry about chipped paint and such
