Made better? Pfft. That's like bragging that your sailboat is sealed up better then a bullet-riddled Festiva. (So that doesn't come off the wrong way---I meant that the build quality on this thing is questionable at best. Better then some that I've seen, but still leaves a lot to be desired)

As far as interior, I'm currently addressing that particular issue right now though (like polishing a turd, but it'll look a lot better).

Next step is suspension (coilovers), then this winter, twins.

You'll be saying pfft a whole lot once it starts breaking down..

In all seriousness, the Vette lineup is very well made..still some fitment problems (i'm sure you see them allover the interior), but well made. I mean..GM's not stupid..it's not going to make a Corvette like it makes a Grand Am.

Congrats...all hail the Z06!

Now..if it was a new one..i'd prolly have to kill you.

Ha! If it breaks, it's upgrade time. You've gotta remember that I'm used to high-powered DSMs. I should have my first chances to break it tomorrow @ Atco if it's done.

As far as it being a new one, I'm gonna wait a year or two to upgrade. They're already starting to drop in value on the used market. '03 is my limit on Z06s at the moment.

I'd better be in the LOW 12s easily.

People have gone 11.7 bone stock (02-04 MYs), 11.5s on cold-air-intakes and Drag Radials, and 11.2 on CAI, Drag Radials, and Long-Tubes (same setup as mine).

I'm hoping for at least 12.1s/11.9s the first time out (not shooting for the sky, as I don't have NEARLY the seat time in RWD cars as I do AWDs).

As far as the parts, this winter I'll be selling the Long-tubes, and CAI (which won't fit your car). Dunno what else I'll have available until that time though.

Longtubes..hmm..what kind? I'm gonna go Kooks I think (and ive heard that they are the creme dela creme!). I already have a CAI and enough of the little stuff done..this summer its headers and a tune..

And I should have guessed low 12's. My car hits high 12's low 13's with a very good driver stock..therefore..another second would make sense.

JNZ - btw, I'm Derek Lewis's dad. I know he knows you guys.

Check with Phoenix Performance in Phoenixville....they tune their own cars and have 5-6 Z06s that they road race. Cool bunch of guys to know.

Might be also looking at an '05 SRT-4 through Cochran (returning the GTO)...I should find out tomorrow or Friday. I could have fun with one of those, privded that at 38k miles, it's not beaten to within an inch of its life.

It's got the LG Longtubes. The Kooks are supposed to be good, but a PITA to fit on the C5s.
