i have no problem with them looking at it, i also know that eric is a good man and will stand by his shops work. its just fustrating with it being the week of chirstmas and i have no $ to buy anyone anything/ let alone find a way to get my car up their to be fixed. eric was also kind enough to work around my current money situation so im not really trying to bad mouth him in any way. im just trying to get my car back so i can have the one and only thing that i own/the only thing that represent my and who i am.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck man but you really should have taken this up with Josh and Erik in person, and not bashing them online before you know the facts about what is wrong with your car. I'm sure if you took the car back and it was something that they did, it would be fixed no problem. But when you come on a site and bash them w/o the facts, it makes you look bad and gives the shop a rep when they don't deserve it. I hope you get things worked out in the end.

I understand things are rough. Especially this time of year. We will try to get you back on the road as soon as possible and with as little pain as possible. I will have it diagnosed as soon as you get the car to us and we can lay out the battle plan from there. I will be in at 10am and you have our number.

You know, I'm getting REALLY tired of whiney customers who expect vendors to bow at their feet the first time their car hiccups.

You know what Josh? *GET* a lawyer, please do. And when you tell them that your car stopped working, and we said we "wouldn't tow it for free because you're *GUESSING* that it has something to do with our work", I'll laugh my ass off.

As you were TOLD, if it's something that we did incorrect--we'll fix it. That doesn't mean that since we worked on your car you know have personal "Road Side Assistance" from now on. You bring it back to us, and if it's a problem that we caused, I'll be more than happy to remedy the problem. If that's not good enough for you, too bad. You're quote of the day is: "My car stopped running---what are you gonna do about it" on the phone. Well, my Magical Crystal Ball is out at the Crystal Ball Repair shop, so I can't diagnose a problem through those 4 words "My car stopped running". Thus, you'll have to get the car to us in order for us to diagnose it. Sorry--it's the way the world works.

As for "Taking Forever", when you dropped the car off, you had a plethora of problems with it, and we told you that we had other cars in front of you. You also stated that "You Checked The Headgasket"--my fault for assuming you had an inkling of what you were talking about. Once we corrected all of your other problems (and re-flushed the coolant system that you tried to flush and didn't rinse out remotely correctly) we double-checked your headgasket. Sure enough, cylinder #4 was making a guyser out of the coolant system. What happened then, Josh? Hmm..from 6 o'clock diagnosis of the coolant system to having the headgasket swapped and the car ready the next day--yep, sure took forever, didn't it?

As for the whining about the coolant leak. Care to mention what it was? Oh---a throttle-body feed hose that was worn out sprung a leak now that you had actual coolant running through it and a pressurized coolant system. Hmm...yep, that's our fault for not automatically telling you "Hey, maybe your coolant hoses are getting old--why don't you buy all new ones from us and have them replace them while we replace your headgasket? While we're up-selling you stuff, how about a nice new set of camshafts since these are kinda old? Maybe some new muffler bearings too?".

As for the "other Josh", yep, after Eagle changing their small ends to no longer allow them to be machined for 2G pins,(which I ordered you a new rod to replace that one at no charge as I should) then ordering 1G pistons (which 3 of the 4 were in the country--the other was on backorder (yep, I guess I'm responsible for Mitsubishi's inventory in the US), to a week and 1/2 ago you deciding you wanted to pony up for the Ross pistons like I originally told you to do, to now whining about "Taking forever".

Guess, what? I'll have your pistons and rods at the shop. Come pick up your car and take it somewhere else. I'll be expecting a call tomorrow, and I'll have your pistons and rods sent back down from the machine shop.

I wonder why we get back-logged sometimes? Maybe it's because not only a lot of customers come to us for work that other hacks can't/won't get right, or the fact that even people who "Work on these cars" come to us for their own engines an transmissions.

Maybe we should do what a lot of other shops do, and just toss **** together and shoot it out the door to get the quick bucks. Might as well when customers whine either way.

to dssa (i think its josh) im not trying to bad mouth you or your shop im just talking about a little miscommunication. + there is no reason to be a d*** its only making you look bad. eric and i are working it out fine! i will get my car towed up there and we will see were we stand. as for the coolant hose's the one was over tightened ant it ripped the hose ant the other on was barely clamped on. and for the selling thing that are not needed or not even real(muffler bearings ) by the way did you top off my headlightflud like i asked? no but seriously i told you i did not know hat exactly had to be replaced and that i trusted in the reliability and word of your shop. like i stated before i just want my car fixed

i have known erik and josh for awhile now and if anything happened that is from JNZ's work im sure they will do everything they can to fix it. stay calm and they will work with you i know it sucks not having a car but blowing up isn't going to help matters. Oh and if you think JNZ takes long order something from MachV last time i ordered from them it took over a month for 3 small parts that were in stock.

If theres one thing I know about Josh its that he doesnt bull**** people. You come on this forum and complain about how JNZ screwed you when you dont know whats wrong and obviously didnt talk to them about it. I dont know what the phone conversation was like but you must not of tried to find a solution before the phone was hung up. No business will tow your car for free because you think its their fault. If you talked to Erik about this before posting here you would have known that they would take full responsability for their work if it was their fault.

You cant find many trustworthy shops anymore. It seems that everyone wants to sell you more and profit from your loss. Most of JNZs customers realize how lucky they are to have such a high quality and trust worthy shop in the area. Josh isnt making himself look bad by being honest with you. If he refused responsability he would look bad. JNZ never told you that they wouldnt pay for anything. They never told you to **** off when something went wrong. If you talked to them instead of posting here you would realize how willing they are to help you. You never gave them the oppurtunity to set things right and now your internet slander is planting a bullet straight through your foot.

like i said before i have talked to eric about the problem. my main concern with the current situation was the towing. after that is done with we can see what is going on and we can work it out from there.

yea pretty much.... JNZ has a good rep when it comes to fixing cars, which is why I'm not entirely upset about waiting to have my car done because It should finally be a decent reliable dsm for awhile

I'm sorry if I offend you that's not what I was trying to do. I wasn't blaming you guys for taken for ever, I know you don't have parts in stock and that you work with a machine shop. I was just statin that it was taking a long time, but I feel its worth the wait since I feel its was the best way for me to go through your shop since Tony and Spendone both recomended you guys and I've seen alot of good reviews about the work you do

BTW......

Just to let the self-proclaimed-professionals in this thread know....

1) The t-belt and head job were in fact 100% correctly done when we tore it down in front of said customer. If someone knows how to replace a head and wipe out a rod bearing (other then driving it on a 50/50 mix of coolant/oil too long after popping said gasket before getting it replaced) please let me know.

2) We waited until customer of said car came in and was able to view with their own two eyes the "tear-down" and inspect each step so their would be no arguements.

It's funny how people are quick to blame other people publicly, but VERY slow to come back and state that they were jumping the gun---go figure.
