i guess first just power down your modem/router for a few minutes and power them back up (no harm will occur)

edit; also, give comcast a call
What he said, start with this and then call comcast.

Couple things, you need to turn off Windows Firewall first, as it blocks Windows Networking for reasons I don't entirely understand. Then you need to make sure your computers are on the same Workgroup (right click on My Computer > Properties > Computer Name Tab > Change). Then just share the folders you want to share and you should be good.

ive tried a those things, and they work for a little bit, then the computers just stop seeing each other and we have to re-ping them and so forth and it just got annoying so we just transfer stuff through AIM or email. But thats not here nor there.

update: for the time being Google seems to be working again. I have no idea whats goin on..

Whatever, I'd chalk it up to random Comcast work.

Try the same stuff with 216.239.37.104

Also at the command prompt type "ipconfig -all" and post the results.
