I need to teach a communication concept...

Alright i need to teach a communication concept to my group discussion class in workshop form. This would be something like nonverbal communication.... but I want something unique. If you have any unique suggestions and wanna help me think of ideas, that would be greatly appreciated.

stage an accident and have students who are unaware of what is going to happen fill out a survey asking details about what happened. You will be surprised when you get dozens of different answers when you ask the class what color shirt the girl who broke the mug was wearing etc etc. This is a very interesting way of showing how visual stimuli can be misinterpreted when it has to be quickly accessed from a persons short term memory. This is a concept that explains why two witnesses to the same accident can many times see very different things.

or a do some research on how human lie detectors work. For example, if someone is asked a question and they glance up and to the left before they answer, they are accessing the creative side of their brain implying that thay are telling a lie by making up their answer. If they look up and to the left they most likely accessing the memory portion of their brain and recalling what actually happened. You could have a subject tell the truth to some inteview questions and intentionally lie to others and see if you can tell which ones are which. Something like that would be fun and unique.
