not being able to focus when you get too close is exactly what i am avoiding here... this allows extremely close focus.
i think what you have is a wide angle adapter but they might also market it as a macro attachment, but if it is what i think it is its a real cheapy way to go and the glass in it probably isnt very good. what i am using in particular is for nikon and the part number is br2a... its not the greatest thing ever but its cheap and fun for anyone interested. you can find it at any pro camera store or at www.bhphotovideo.com

Bryan, you are exactly correct, it's just a wide angle adapter (marketed as a macro adapter), and no the glass isn't very good, and it is VERY thick. But like many things, you never know untill you try. It's still fun to use for some shots, but most aren't anything I would be "proud" of.
I'm going to see if canon makes a similar thing to the nikon. |

yea, for my pics i just held the lense up backwards to it and am like almost touching the items in the pic dependin on what lense i was usin for it. the DOF is really small because i cant adjust the aperture on the lenses i used. it was still alot of fun to play around with, and like troll said i can see why macro lenses can be fun
and grimm, i checked for the reversal adapters and found some on ebay. i think they were only like 15 with shipping
