Does anyone have any experience with the Samsung D807? Im trying to figure out if this thing will play mp3's as ringtones but im having a hell of a time of it and im gettin pissed at this thing. so if anyone has any input i'd appreciate it. thanks

I have it...it's meh

Your ringtones/mp3's have to be a certain KB, on top of a certain bitrate, and under 30 seconds. HowardForums tells you when you do a search. As for mp3's you can't have anything higher then a 192 bitrate and your play list limits you to 100 songs.

Oh yea and not sure if this has happened with anyone else but I am on my 3rd one. Pretty much the screen decides to pixelate itself permanently and I don't even drop it or anything. Thank god for the little month or so warranty Cingular gives.

well that pretty much sucks..so im still not sure what the process is, if any, to get mp3's with the correct bitrate and kb size set as a ringtone?

if you download a ringtone you just go to the downloaded file and set it to ringtone. if you want to put music files on the phone you have to buy the cable to hook it up to your pc and then put the files in your "my music" folder

ah well now im pissed, i went to the cingular store the other day and asked the guy for the media cable so i could do that, and he says first of all we have to special order it and second of all you dont need it. all you need is an sd card reader and you'll be fine, and its cheaper, so i did that. all i wanna freakin do is put the songs from my sd card as ringtones. such a damn hassle

wow I am glad I did not get that phone. I was debating between that and the sony w810i and I got the sony. Still figuring out how to use it.

ive not had any problems as of yet, then again i've only had the phone for less than a week. just trying to figure this stupid thing out.
