points transfer

i got a ticket last summer in MD for speeding when i really wasnt. the ticket was only like $70 and a minor traffic violation. i decided to fight it and got my court date last september. i couldnt make the court date and asked for a postponment. the lady said to look for my new court date in the mail. so i called penndott in harrisburg and asked a representative if i were to accept the ticket and pay the fine, would any points transfer. he told me that penndot does not accept anything from other states and it wouldnt go on my driving record. my friends tell me otherwise and the points do transfer over from MD. im not sure if you can help me on this one, since it was out of state. im just getting worried especially because i havent received my court date yet. its been over 4 months

Except for serious offenses, out-of-state tickets do NOT transfer to PA. At this point, I'd be more concerned with the possibility that you never received your new court date in the mail. I would suggest calling the courthouse the first chance you get and make sure you didn't miss the new court date. If you haven't, and you don't want to hassle, just pay the ticket and move on. If you want to know more about the DLC and how it works in PA, it's all been posted here:
