Are the ends cut?
I always recommend a harness so it is plug and play. This way you aren't hacking into your ignition wiring.

Check out the 1.8T thread about it. It should be the same install procedure. Good luck with it.

Well if the kit looks like this...

I have the electronics box, the timer module, half of the harness that has the two white plugs, and parts of the purple wire.

I am sure that this was installed without the harness. Because the wires seem a bit butchered.
Looks like I going to buy a new turbo timer, instead of installing this.
Guess I'm out $40 bucks.

You could always get the harness and hardwire the TT side of it. Or you could get a new one and sell the old one for what you paid....

But was yours butchered by the previous owner to install it?

Mine was butched when i went to go install it. I bought a new arness and still had to rewire it a little but its not too bad as long as you find the wiring diagram on line or on their site.

Did you get it installed yet? For an extra $11 you can purchase the harness that plugs onto the end underneath your steering column and onto the female (3 prong) end of the turbo timer side. That saves you at least half an hour of wiring. The other three wires are most likely ground, e-brake, and o2 sensor.
