My girlfriends birthday is coming up and she loves sushi. Can anybody suggest a good place to get sushi (that also has something else cause I don't eat sushi)

What area? What price? I'll list a couple cheaper ones...(under $100 for two, with a couple of drinks)

Doylestown: The best sushi I have had (I have gone to a LOT of actual sushi bars): The Freight House. Get the sushi as an appetizer, they give you a TONE of it. Plus the rest of their meals are awesome!

Ookas also has great sushi (there is one in doylestown and one in willow grove). Jannies is pretty cheap and they have great sushi (warrington). If you are by philly there are literally hundreds of places with great sushi.

I made reservations here. I've heard great things about this place.

The lady said about $150.00 for dinner for two. About what I was looking to spend.

A1 is great food but my friends and I go there all the time for dinner.

Plus Morimoto is in the city and we'll be going to the nutcracker at the Acdemy of Music at 7:00

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

i think morimoto is overpriced.. as is the pod.. and buddakan,, i mean some of your cost is allocated to the actual milieu/setting/atmosphere, the rest for a 'decent' portion of food but with very nice presentation.. since you are going to be attending a show in philly i would go with one of those three.. to be honest with you and in my personal opinion i would rank these restaurants (in regards to SUSHI ONLY): the pod, morimoto, buddakan...

if you are an avid sushi-go'er (i frequent japanese restaurants 4-5x/week) you would know that you could get a hefty roll fer $5 and pretty good quality.. but at these places you'll see sushi as an appetizer, for like $13, but the presentation is very nice, quality of food is very good.. it's been a while since ive been to those 3 (or the city for that matter), but i think you'll have a great time and she'll have a great b-day...

as for you.. all 3 places offer other dishes non-sushi related, but some do contain fish (whether cooked or raw) which resemble a twist on traditional sushi-type dishes.. have fun!!
