I couldn't be a doctor (or a nurse). To you, and anyone else who pursues this career, I have to give MAJOR credit to. NO WAY IN HELL could I live with this stuff day in and day out. I don't know if you watch House or Scrubs, but what they say would HAVE to be true. I'm referring to the "joking" comments. If you can't joke around about it, you can't last.

Its so bad having to see this stuff. It sort of dehuminizes you, but at the same time gives you a great respect for life.
Well, OP started the topic so.... When i worked at Burlington County Hospital, we were the county morgue an did the autopsies. Jeez that was rough sometimes. All those people the OP mentioned have to go the the M.E. for a cause to death. Even if it is silly, like 15 dudes falling out of the sky from an airplane crash, beautiful beautiful young woman ejected out the back window of a car while sleeping on the way home from college, stripper getting thrown off a bridge, father shooting mother (i counted 7 hits-2hands defending, 2head, 1arm, 2chest) and himself infront of kids and tons of suicides and auto accidents. Life is short, play hard and procreate.
