few reasons why it isnt making as much power......

1. we asked for a nice rich safe tune being that the stock auto tranny wont hold much past 350whp and be reliable

2. its only on 8lbs of boost

3. it still running stock manifolds/cats.

the car was dyno tuned b4 the blower and made 240whp/250wtq so i think over 100whp/100wtq at only 8psi and a real safe tune is pretty damn good....like i said in my other post i dont care what people say or hear about a shop. unless YOU have been there and dealt with them personally what you've heard doesnt mean anything to me. they were super nice gave us a super deal and the work is TOP notch. i've dealt with plenty of shops and Joe(the owner) is one of the nicest guys i've met. maybe your friend's gt was pushing a lot more boost than 8psi i guaruntee and it was prolly more bolt ons/stick. the difference between stick and auto is whp is HUGE. once we build the motor this blower will handle close to 30psi so dont worry its better than the ****ty little s trim your friend had i like to do things the RIGHT way build the rest of the drivetrain b4 we put the big power out.

edit: i see in your profile your car isnt even running so go ahead and talk all the **** about the shop/car at least we got a nice reliable RUNNING car. key word RUNNING.

keep sucking Joes dick. that guys an asshole. i can go on more and more about that, but im not gonna.
Shawns car was pretty much stock. S-trim, lighting mass air, 42lbs injectors and a cat back. o yeah it was auto too. he drove it for two years running lows 12s at 116. put the blower on a 8k sold it at 50k with the blower still on it on. pretty dam good if you ask me.
My car has a fully built engine thats been in the car for 4 years now. i drove it up and down the east coast went i first built it. It ran a 10.91 on 6psi which was nothing for that thing. so lets see i had a 10sec daily driver that i drove for 3 years, doesnt sound bad to me. the car is down now because i broke a stupid key way on the end of the crank. easy fix, but i wanted to redo a bunch of ****. dont try and tell me about fast cars. ive got two of them right now and if you'd like to try and run either one in the spring, be my guest and put some cash up!

as i said many times EVERY shop there are some people that have bad experiences. I have not and i go by what i see.....until they do sumthing bad to me personally I have no problem with them. The whole point of my arguing is that I did not post this thread for you and your fan club to talk **** about the shop. you want to setup a race in the spring or whenever your car will be running again. I'm sure i could get a race for ya.......or if you want to race my slow ass RSX I'd be happy to, but i get to pick the road......I'm not all about 1/4 mile thats why we have the stang to build. I'm more or a twisty driver so if you want to take it to the twists hit me up. like i said though if you want a street race i know a bunch of 1000+horse audis and a certain VW R32 that would glady run you for some cash. hell bring out your buddy's vette i can get a race for him to. i dont come on these sites to pick fights or make enemies like you do so i will not argue with you any longer. if you have something positive to say about the car or the tune please post back. if not go start a trash talking thread in the "OFF TOPIC" section cause thats where your posts belong.....

all arguing aside can we talk about cars again.......how much boost was he running? our car doesnt have mass air yet(stock) and only 30lb injectors. good to hear some numbers/times from another car that had similar mods though. we are only hoping for a low 12 or high 11 with a little more mods and a good tire......all i know is i didnt expect it to be as fast as it is for the low boost and being an auto. next on the list is headers/test pipe, torque converter/tranny cooler. then we'll work on building a motor. we went with the paxton becuase i've heard good things and it can make lots of boost. we just wanted it on the car and a nice safe tune which i feel we got. we're happy for now, but that wont last can never have enough power, lol

i can PM you my cell if you'd like to set something up with the vette asap. o btw the most powerfull VR6 makes 854hp! so yeah set it up. as for the twisties, now you just sound like a ricer, but hey ill break my bike i dont care.

Shawns car was making 7-8psi we think, we dont know for sure. whatever a stock S-trim set up comes with. he had no boost gauge.

JD's sucks. I know a bunch of people personally that have had problems, and it seems that every time their name comes up, even more people come out of the woodwork. They are also insanely overpriced.

With that said, the car is definately down on power BUT it still appears to be a nice and (IMPORTANT) safe tune.. Congrats on the new found power and good luck.

Two of my friends both had basically stock (5 speed cars, but they had the same mods as you) and 8#'s put them to 395rwhp SAE. They were both 01's. Sled's friend also had another making about the same power, not sure what year it was though. Your graph state's it's STD which is MORE than likely adding numbers over SAE. I don't think the auto would be worth THAT much of a loss (50rwhp).

BUT AGAIN, you have a nice safe tune and are losing a lot of power compared to their cars which probably had higher timing and 12.0-12.5 a/f.

That's a huge centrifugal for not a lot of boost. Still you have your reasons and it's still fast. Awesome.

JD's is OK. They try to make more money off you. Basically it is a scam but the work they do is good.

Nice setup. 8psi is perfect....

oh yea....

My car was tuned at Jd's by Joe himself and it ran flawless, 480whp & 530wtq, trapped 125-28 all day w/ crappy 60fts @ 3600lbs, it was BUILT somewhere else though.

you were dead even with Nicks vette from a 40 roll. he pulled alittle if anything. when the hell did you trap 125-128. your car was a also a 347 with a S-trim and 14psi running 11s. my vert was a stock bottom end with H/C/I S-trim, 13psi, with a PA AOD running 10s at almost 130!!!! 518rwhp and 555rwtq. ive got the dyno sheets and everything to prove it!
