I will have to ask at work tomorrow about having it at our shopping center. Its the one up from Goodnoes in Newtown...where Bed, Bath, and Beyond is. The guy was willing to have the goodnoe car show moved there last month.

I'll ask tomorrow about it.

Also it would be nice to be in a lot with a finite size so that the group is relatively close together without a lot of extra pavement for people to mess around in. Absolute was pretty much perfect if we can find something like that again.
I dont know how easy that will be to pull off but I'm hoping to find something like that by the spring. In the meantime... I dont know really.
I talked to the manager at Neshaminy mall, and for the less frequent meets i think an area there may be ideal. He just needs you to contact him. Just call 215-357-6100 and ask for the manager between 9 am n like 6 pm. Some of the parts of the lot are owned by the anchors (Sears, AMC etc) and the other parts are owned by the mall itself, but it should be simple to figure out if tst meets are approved. This is also farther south for people in DE/NJ and philly. I liked FW because it was like 2 miles from my house down 332, but i'd be willing to go farther for the meets to work. I know we may be able to meet by the sears auto place where we met for the scavenger hunt, but only if the mall & sears gives the OK. Could you check it out since your TEH head honcho & such? Hope this helps!

P.S. I think it might be wise to start enforcing a no burnout/engine rev rule at the more sensitive meet locations?

I just realized, that if you pitched them the meet as a car show, and asked for a space on the fringes of the lesser used parts of the lot, you may have a really good shot at nailing down the mall as a meet location. Hell, you may even see it explode into some popular thing w/ the locals. If that happens, and everyone behaved we may end up w/ a permanant spot where no one would bother us. That would be sweet. I kinda doubt it working out, but it would still be pretty sweet if it goes through.

Wherever the meet(s) take place, i just hope it's not too far, i came every week for a few months at FW. It would be tragic if distance kept me.

hello? instead of turning this thread into people just throwing out ideas i asked that before you make any suggestions to look into it first and talk to the person in charge who can either grant or deny us permission to meet there. there's really no point in having the next 5 pages for people to throw out 100 ideas, none of which have even been approved by the owner of the property.
and thanks to those who have made strides to pursue a new location. its not like we need to find something tomorrow, so i hope nobody is stressing out here. i'd rather take my time and find a great spot than put energy into finding a just ok spot right away.

I have talked to the owner of the Valley Billiard Hall. He said we are more than welcome to meet there. In the same lot is a Wendy's for food. Inside is a full pool hall for those of you who get cold and want to shoot some pool.

The hall is BYOB, but only do this if you have a DD!

I agree with Troll, i think it is going to take more than one day to figure this out. I for one want the meet to be located fairly for people in NJ/DE, non-cramped w/ non meet traffic, and have at leasst a place to eat nearby, with a proper working toilet preferably. Anyone else agree on that? Let's make a list of possible practical sites, and look into each one, both "for now" and for the spring?

That would be a pain in the arse to get to. So much traffic, among other issues. Hmm, i hope i don't have to abandon thursday night meets. That would be Teh Suckage.
