Sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting to get a credit application from an advertising group so I can run their 4 week ad that will be costing them $7329, that deadlines in 10 minutes.

only a 1/4 of that goes towards this months goal, which will put me over, the rest goes towards next months goal..which should cover about half of it.

Now...where the **** is my ad??????

Its gonna be late, as anything from a client always is. I have sat around until 8pm waiting for creative or data from clients so we could get their pieces out the door.

now they want color! it's after 12, I have no paperwork, color is iffy as balls right now...at least it raises the price another $1200, it should be $2400, but they never actually told me they wanted color ads and they only charged their client for $1200, and the ad is a huge deal and lots of money for me so whatever...I just don't know if this will get done. they've known about this for weeeeeeeks

I hear stories like this from my wife almost everyday. She works for Yellowbook. she is a laison between sales/clients and the art department.

actually it's kind of funny how much crap people try to get away with thier ads, especially "massage parlors" HaHa. there was one called the Wild Orchid, and the pic the said orchid had a certain female anatomdy cleverly designed into the art work.

well, so much for getting that ad in this week....assholes get me their info at 12:15pm, 15 minutes after deadline. My company decides not to offer them credit, so I need a check or credit card....it's 3:15pm now...my sales assist has left for the day...this ad isn't going in this week.

I was going to start the electrical job, but after careful consideration I've decided the newspaper was my best option.
