i got a new car! lol

UPDATED PICS!

with winter approaching, i started pricing out snow tires for the Z, but after finding out that they would cost well over a grand, i decided to go the less expensive route. i found this gem in the donation lot in fairless hills. it's a great place to find really cheap crap! after taking delivery saturday, i quickly picked up a driver's side door. the one that came on the car had no window, and i found out the whole door was cheaper than replacing the glass. on the way home from the junk yard, the exhaust fell off, so i went to minekie and had them install a new cat-back. all total, the car cost about $800, and should pass inspection, and emissions!

here is the little 1.6L 4 cyl, suprisingly clean for 208k!

okay, when i bought the car the stock steering wheel was all fudged up, so i found this sweet pilot steering wheel @ autozone, and slapped it on. too soon junior!

while i was there i found these cool fog lamps, watch out muddy! lol

oh yeah, check this out:

thanks for looking guys! lol

Should've looked for something with 4wd like a old jeep cherokee. But for 800 looks like a good deal.

Why don't you just transfer the glass from the white door to the black door?

not that i know of, but they're inventory changes daily, and the guys who run the place check out the cars, and try to find out any major problems from the previous owners before they sell them.

the black door was sorta smashed, and it didn't line up right. i'll just paint the new one to match the rest of the car, but for now i think it's hilarious!

Are you talking about the American Childern's Society Auto Donation Center on 135 East Lincoln Highway on the road where pepboys is? If so I have driven past there before, and they do in fact have a website... said part is I know it.. I would have to say the cars are better there, then at capital auto auction down in philly. If you want a car for $100 bucks.. go there.. sad sad place. Let me guess you got the door at U-Pull-It?

Nice beater! Those B13 Nissans run forever. That car should have the GDA16DE. If its leaking oil its probably the front main seal. You will be able to tell by the black oily film on the rear bumper. Other than that and the egr stuff getting all clogged up there isnt much that goes wrong with those. Its even got a timming chain. Handles awesome in the snow for a fwd car. I say good pickup.

it is the gda16de, but about that oil leak, i don't see any oil film on the rear bumper, just all over the ac compressor, and other various items around the oil pan. the valve cover is leaking very slow, and i think the oil sender switch may be leaking as well. did you used to have a b13?

I could be other seals, I just know the front main is the most common one to go on the GA16DE. I've had three Nissans. 1994 Sentra XE (GA16DE), 1998 Nissan Sentra (GA16DE), and a 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R (SR20DE). Plus my sister had a B13 GA16DE that she beat the absolute piss out of that I beleive is still running around after she sold it. They make awesome beaters, except the SE-R that car was just plain 100% fun.

Sweet. a car for cheaper then tires.

my girl had the same car. she gave it to my aunt whom lives in NY. It had over 100,000 on it when she gave it to her. Since then my aunt has driven back and forth to NY probly 50 times or more and it is still going . i kinda wish i kept it. i think i would have, if it was a stick.
