Wreckless/Irresponsible drivers piss me off - TriStateTuners.com :: Home of Tristate Auto Enthusiast

I'm cruising on GSP South and I see this maniac in an E46 325i silver swerving in and out very dangerously because it wasn't smooth, the car looked like it was on the verge of spinning out. He was fooling around with a 350z at first but the Z was smart and did not want to play. He almost followed the Z onto 80 but I geuss he realized it and swerved back on GSP almost colliding with another vehicle. They honked at him and he took off again. This whole time I'm a little behind in the left lane watching this but I eventually pass him because all that swerving usually doesn't save you anytime anyway lol.

Anyway he spots me and starts swerving again and jumping onto the shoulder etc etc to catch me. Finally he gets up next to me and wants me to go and I decline because seriously it's light traffic and it's 3pm wtf are you thinking, people can get hurt. He figures it out and speeds off again.

he's a little ways ahead of me but I still see him very clearly. He cuts off this volvo 850 wagon. Now the person in front of the wagon at the time had to slow down so the bimmer had to slam on his breaks and the person in the volvo did not have good reflexes/good enough breaks/good enough tires.

They pull over to the shoulder now so I decide to pull over too to see if everyone is ok (person in the volvo) It's a young lady (early to mid 20's) with a baby in the back in a baby seat. He's yelling at the lady and I intervene.

I call the police, the state troopers arrive app. 10 minutes later. The bmw driver starts telling the state trooper he was cruising and all of a sudden the lady hit him. The lady is like crying. I tell the cop I saw the whole thing and the events that lead up to the accident and everything was his fault. he stared at me after that. The cop asked if I knew the guy since we both drove bmws and I reply he wished I knew him, we M drivers are more responsible than these kids. Cop takes down all our info. The 325i leaves. Cop says it's a good thing I pulled over with them to act as a witness otherwise she would most likely be the one to blame. Cop leaves, woman and I talk for a little bit. I give her my card and tell her she can call me for anything.

It just pisses me off that if I didn't pull over than the lady would have been to blame.

Women with kids tho in their mid 20's eek. Good you pulled over make sure if and when they call you as a witness you go.

If they call me I am definately going.

As for pics I didn't think it was the right thing to do to a traumatized lady lol.

on a side note I cracked my passenger side flare at dunkin donuts today

I have to got to court now and fight 2 tickets because some jackass was flying down the slow lane on the NJ TPK, I had my blinker on to merge over to the slow lane for an exit, NO ONE was near me. So I start to move over...and guess what this guy appears suddenly. I didn't even know it until I heard screaching tires, I look im my rearview, and the guy looses control and hits the concrete barrier, smashing his car completely. I pulled over about a mile or less ahead, (due to traffic) and I have 911 on the phone. I tell thenm exactly what happens, and they give me to the troopers, I tell them on the phone what happened. They tell me to be on my way. A guy also pulled over right behind me and said that the guy who crashed came speeding up in the slow lane, I didn't see him, but he confirmed I had my blinker on, and said the other guy never beeped or anything.

So now here we are 2-3 weeks later...and I just got 2 tickerts in a certified envelope sent to me....saying carless driving and unsafe lane change...with accident and personal injury involed.
Thats some BS right there.

Yeah I'm gonna fight it. Bringing my usual lawyer with that handles my traffic stuff. I just couldn't believe it. I wasn't really even involved...I mean, he didn't hit my car or anything...he lost control because he was being dumb. The cops NEVER saw me, cuz like I said, after calling 911 I was told if I wasn't hit it wasn't my fault so I could go.

That means someone who pulled over near the accident must have seen my plate and gave them to the cops. I'm like WTF when I open the letter. I'm like....I never even spoke to or saw a cop in person, only over the phone.

So yeah, my lawyer says that cops can't write the tickets if they didn't see it happen.

see this is what you do. since she is traumatized you give her a hug and gaze into her eyes, and tell her everything is ok. next she will kiss you and want to take you home. it works. i saw it on lost haha.

Yea, good stuff. But sometimes its best not to get involved. If you ever witness an accident keep on going. Because if you stay and speak to the police, and for some reason someone doesnt like what you said and they get a name a plate or whatever... You know bad things can happen, there are some real twisted people out there. You just never know.
