Sad for his wife and kid. Lets not forget there was a female flight instructor on board with Cory as well. The NTSB will get the whole story in a few days and release a report in a month or two.

another thing his how many people died who werent in the plane?? no offense im getting sick of the media making a big deal of just lidle and his family. there were others involved. best regards to all those who lost someone...

I'm getting tired of this as well. This dip**** was piloting a plane in weather that he should not have been due to lack of experience, over a HIGHLY populated area, with large ****ing buildings. Everyone is so sorry about the pitcher, who ****ed up...no one gives a **** about the people in the building that died and had nothing to do with the accident

Easy there fella. I have to step in a play devils advocate here for a second. Lidle was a rated Private pilot flying in weather that was completely legal. It may have been a bad judgement call to launch but he was legal. Being that there was a flight instructor on board with him the experience level in the ****pit goes up. They may have been in the unfortunate situation where no matter who was in the plane the outcome would have been the same. I know as much about the story as you do but i feel obligated to defend the pilot until the whole story comes out.

I feel obligated to tell everyone that only says "poor lidle" or "poor yankees" to "suck it". I feel sorry for him, his family, and those that died due to his mistakes. But everyone is so caught up on the pilot because he was a yankee there are others involved

amen!! he reported to the airport that he was having "fuel issue"....dont know about you but if i here anything about fuel and plane im not getting on let alone flying it around nyc

i also want to add that my prayers go out to lidles family and any others who passed away..its an unfortunate event either way.

Have you ever taken your car on to the track thinking it was 100% ready to go then find out half way down something was wrong? That seems to be what happened here only pilots can't just pull over to the side of the road.
