Ok here's the deal, we now are offering Corner Weighting...

To introduce this new service we are gonna setup a Corner Balancing day, date to be determined and updated here. For now we are gauging interest will set a date accordingly.

Here's the deal. Anyone is welcome to stop by, we will weigh anyone's car for FREE and give em a print out of all their corner weights.

Corner weighting will cost between $150-$300 per car depending on how far the car is out. We will be able to give you a set price once your car has undergone it's FREE weighing.

What is Corner Weighting?

Corner balancing is the process of shifting the weight carried by each wheel to approach optimal values. Although some weight can be shifted between wheels by physically relocating parts of the car, the corner balance process is focused on shifting weight by adjusting the suspension spring height. Any relocation of parts should be performed before corner balancing begins.

Why Corner Weight?

In short, because tuning your suspension is as important as tuning your engine.

A properly corner balanced car will handle evenly in left and right turns. Unbalanced handling occurs when front-to-rear weight distribution is not equal for left and right sides.

In a symmetric car out-of-balance is easily understood as excessive weight carried by one pair of diagonal wheels resulting in a teeter-totter affect. If the imbalance is extreme, one of the light wheels may be completely off the ground even at rest!

Street cars are rarely corner balanced and typically have no provision for adjusting spring height. That's because their spring rate is relatively low, perhaps 100 lbs/in. With such low spring rates it would take a huge imbalance in spring height to have a significant affect on corner balance.

Performance and race cars may have spring rates of 300, 400, 500 lbs/in and higher. Corner balance becomes much more important due to the high spring rates - small changes in height greatly impact weight carried. Additionally, we are much more concerned with handling and performance with race cars so corner balance becomes very important.

What you need?

Height adjustable suspension. This means coilovers.

If you don't have coilovers we can still weigh your car and try and convince you to buy some, best deal guaranteed.

Corner weighting and a full setup is something that should be done on any car with aftermarket suspension bits. So for people with coilovers, height adjustable spring/shock packages this is for you. It's time for you to take full advantage of your expensive suspension. Not having your coilovers, etc. properly dialed in would be the same as buying fancy new power making parts for your engine and not having them tuned.

We are able to do setups for any type of racing. In order to adjust the corner weights, a height adjustable suspension is needed, but if you have other adjustable suspension arms, an alignment can still be performed on the vehicle and it can be put on the scales to find out how far off each corner is.

In terms of how often a car should be setup. I would recommend having the weights and alignment checked before every event. I know this sounds like it would get expensive. But we will be working out plans for the auto-x, road race season to help keep the costs down.
