that dude needs to get a grip. I cant even count how many people I have late hit or how many times I have been late hit in lacrosse. Sometimes you just cant see whats going on with the play. Thats what the refs are for.

Pretty weak hit anyway. Those kids are ages 7-14, they arent going to kill anyone late hitting a player. An adult on the other hand....

Terry tate tackle train right there. Saw it on the news, it's a shame that these over agressive parents will never learn, you see it all the time.

That is a bit of an over reaction on his part but I can kind of see where he is coming from. I mean, the play was over for a good amount of time and then dude comes and slams his son in the back. I think even some rational people would lose it and their paternal instincts would kick and and say "im going to defend my son". Im not condoning his actions, or saying he is justified but you can kinda see what was going through his head at the time. I know when me and my bro were on the same hockey team if I saw someone give him a cheap shot I was the first person giving one back to that guy and vice versa.

Seriously.

I loved when people late hit me. It was a chance to whoop some azz and not have the coach/teammates get mad at me for taking a penalty. The players protect each other you better believe that, they dont need the coach doing that stuff.

I know it is. I was just saying I can sort of understand what was going through his head. As I said I am not trying to justify his actions, just saying most people would have those same thoughts running through their minds. But most people also would have sense enough to not act upon those thoughts.

If I was the other kid's dad, I could guarantee you there'd be at least two people in jail that night!

There was a flag thrown on the late hit, per the rules and the ref catching the hit.

The man who hit the kid, is an adult, he is the coach of the team, he is the father of one of the players. He had no right in any way shape or form to be attacking the opposing player. He should know better.

And no, a thought like that doesn't run through everyones head, specially when you're the one allowing your child to play in a game of contact sports. You accept the responsibility of whatever happens.

The rules are there to punish things like this (the late hit) not the parents, and certainly not the coaches. He layed out a kid, 23 years younger than himself... luckily he's gonna get nailed hard for it.

according to other sources, a brawl of sorts broke out shortly after. And from the video it looked like the closest ref was about to go after the dad.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this guy got a few lumps from various [real] men in the crowd.

Did you see the way the *** coward when the ref started coming after him? He is a tough guy to kids, but runs like a bitch when an adult steps up. I agree with whoever said it above, if it was my kid that he knocked over, I would be in jail today.
