That's a myth. Mustangs actually handle quite well with a stiff set of sway bars. They just come with really soft ones in stock form.

Not being a jerk or nothing...but stock 3.8l are NOT strong blocks. I use to own one for starters.

#2, Over at SVTP, some dude with a V6 turboed his 3.8l...and guess what...shortly thereafter....kaboom.

I'm talking about handling not grip, the few mustangs I've driven didn't seem to tell me what was going on at the corners. That gives you no confidence to push it in the corners.

There has to be some differences between them. My previous HS psych teacher (of all people) has a GN which he runs at the track and runs 27 lbs of boost on that block. It was rebuilt but all I know he did differently was a strong headgasket and forged pistons (not sure on the pistons, but they had to to run 27lbs, and yes I am sure on that number)

Well regardless it's the same same basic engine as the one in my dad's old thunderbird...super coupe. Yes, ford themselves bolted a supercharger to that very engine and that bad boy pushed out 330 lb-ft of torque (COUGH but only 230 hp COUGH COUGH). Maybe they changed the internals, or perhaps weakened the block to save weight, but that engine at one time could definately handle the boost.

Did you get lower compression pistons with your kit? And does your car come with aluminum or iron cylinder heads?
