Dusted off the old r/c truck

Took some time last nite to freshen up the suspension, rebuild the rear diff, new drive shafts/axle shafts. Some fresh fuel and charged ignitor, and it fired rite up. I'll have to tweak it some when cooler weather gets here. I gotta find a construction site and let this thing rip.

I thinking I might get some sand tires for it and head to Seaside or Ocean City. This thing is a blast on the beach.

I've been looking for a good place to run it locally, my neighbors get a little salty when I fire it up and chase their dogs around the 'hood. The access road at the twin bridges in Langhorne has locked up, so that is out. If anyone knows a good place to run them, lets go there.

Oh traxxas T-maxx with the pro .15 engine, Proline dual stage shocks, RPM arms, RPM front bumper, AL bulks. Nice truck for its age. I have a maxx like yours but only the newish 2.5. I need to get a piston and sleeve but they aren't cheap. Like 80 bucks. I'll stick with my electrics when they run.

I grenaded the original .15 long ago. I installed a O.S. big block...hated it, too much power for this little chassis. I ended up with a Sirio .18, great little motor, more power than stock but very controlable and reliable.

I think my next purchase will be a Jato 3.3 65 mph out of the box.

nice. i got a box full of what was a t-maxx 2.5. now its mostly titanium and aluminum with a 3.1 hp sirio big blockm on it. it was clocked at just over 80 right before i wrecked it into the curb. i got a supercharger for a t-maxx if anyone is interested. i couldn't get it to tune with it on. it either smoked all 4... litterally. or bogged down and shut off.

you sure about sand? I was at the construction site on byberry right behind the LA fitness and the Ritas area in Huntingdon Valley area. My dads T-Maxx got screwed up cuz of sad getting in the parts and it wouldnt turn and barley moved. I destroyed my rear shock tower there. It was like 5ft table tops and i just kept jumping them and yea broke. I dont know any other good places to run them.

Driving on the beach rocks! Just stay near the water where it is damp and everything works well. As far as jumps go, my Tmaxx has been a real trooper. I have driven thru hell and back. It met it's match when I used the roof of my garage for a launch ramp. It went straight up to the peak, which is around 25 feet up, the next thing it touched was the ground...I couldn't see it, but I could here that it was still running so I wacked the throttle open and I heard it take off across my back yard. There wasn't a part on it that wasn't damaged in some way but i still drove.

Yea I cant find the digi cam, my dads T-maxx has a custom painted expedition body. Its silver with blue and purple flames its looks cool. I had to get him the SUV body because I got him a roll cage at the same time and its the only type of body that will fit. Its pretty bad ass....ill not tell him about the s/c, he cant be faster than my nitro rustler lol
