I'm trying to find the specs for a Sony Laptop. The model number is pcg-971l. If anybody can find any specs for me it would be great. I'm trying to see if I can use this laptop for what I need to use it for.

I even tried google all that came up are accesories for it.

Its an older laptop. My buddy bought it late in 2001. It has the sticker in the back of it and it says it has Windows XP Home edition on it, but thats all he can tell me at this moment. He's over here with me right now and his laptop is at home. The info is coming from his wife. I'm going to have his wife write down all of the info from the back of it or find the book for it.

I've tried google also, but the sites I think that might have the info are all blocked from me.

Here's an easy way of getting it. Tell your friend or his wife to do this:
START > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

- or -
For a quick gander:
START > Control Panel > System

Try going here and looking it up by model number. Sony's page has a place you can enter it into and then under Manual/Specifications find out the information on it.
