I definitely prefer the current ES1's but they arent terrible. They could definitely work. Its not really that I hate XXR's because they make some pretty nice rep wheels. I honestly just dont like 527's. I had a set and hated them, they are just so played out and cheap looking so I always trash them when I see them.

Yeah they aren't for everyone. But for winter wheels they do the trick instead of rocking the stock wheels and spacers to make them sit flush.
