Anybody work at NJ DMV?

I was curious if anyone here works for NJ motor vehicles, i bought a trailer from a guy off craigslist almost 2 years ago and for some reason i didnt think about a bill of sale when buying it. DMV is telling me the only way to register the trailer is with a notarized bill of sale, problem is I can't find his number anymore to try an get one. I must not have saved it in my phone. Is anyone aware of a way I can get around this? I never really had a need for the trailer till recently which is why I didn't try to register it before.
