Never knew that. Seems like a really lame rule, would rather just have it be a checking account then, not like the interest is more than a few pennies anyway.

That's how many I'm allowed too, booked a hotel before I got the letter so I have no idea how many extra I've done. Guess I'll just back off using that card till next month.

why not call the bank and open up a checking account, and then transfer the money from savings to checking?

Got a checking account there, the card in question is my Paypal debit card which is linked to my savings account. Might just put half into my checking account now though.

huge mistake.

i canceled my previous checking acct due to paypal charging me $325 when i didn't authorize it. good luck trying to get your $$ back when that happens. took me over a month... and like 40 phone calls between paypal and the bank.

so i opened three new checking accounts.

checking - actual checking acct.

savings - actually a checking acct. but i want to make unlimited transfers without a dumbass fee. so since it's checking i can transfer to and from 87345897 times a month at my leisure. don't give two ****s about interest because its like a $3.50 per year difference, so awesome!

paypal - keep at a $0.00 balance unless i bought something, in which case i'll transfer the exact $ amount to that account.

has worked out for me well thus far.

Just removed the link to my savings account because of this story, stuff like that makes me really paranoid. I'll let that card only use what's in my account (which is almost always 0.00 anyway.)

prior to that, i had no *serious problems w/ paypal... easily over 100+ transactions buying and selling.

*(little issues here and there w/ freezing money and me not being able to receive it for a week or so, and thus not letting me ship the item for awhile)

then that happened and i was furious. they even have a website www.paypalsucks.com with story after story of similar and even worse scenarios.

i still use it tho cause i do so much buying/selling online... but w/ my current bank set up and checking acct. dedicated to paypal only (with overdraft not allowed), so they get declined if the $ is not there... it seems to be working out well.

agreed, i always left my paypal account at $0.00 for the fact that paypal usually always sides with the buyer and if there is a dispute they freeze your account.

Apparently BMW owners are jerks behind the wheel, coming in at 43% Mitsubishi owners, not so much, coming in at 0%.

to the average person a BMW driver is a jerk... its hard to do a "study" the way people drive what cars. an ignorant driver will be the same no matter what he/she drives IMO....

P.S. Porter Ridge is the best show on TV.

I get sick of driving anymore. it seems like you have to drive so defensively now a days because everyone thinks they can do whatever they want and everyone has to wait for them. i miss the days of just getting in my car, putting music on and just driving to relax.

It's Wednesday. We are halfway there. Just can't wait to get through next week and then I'm off from work for 2.5 weeks.

Anyone going to the Yellowbullet Nationals?
