Non-Disclosure Agreement?

So my company wants me to sign a non-disclosure agreement (i've been there for 10 years already) In anycase I do a lot of the photography for the company using my own equipment.

I do not want to sign the agreement because it would be giving the company rights to all of the photographs I took. Eliminating my ownership of the photos.

If i was using their equipment I could understand as it would be "Part of my job duties" but being that they don't supply me with equipment to do this, I see this as freelance type work.

just wondering if anyone else has been in this scenario and how it panned out.

I have an NDA but that doesn't undermine my rights to use the photos for a portfolio once the products are released. I personally don't care if the company 'owns' the photos, as I don't plan on making money off them later. Thats what the paycheck is there for.

Your call though.

maybe you could write up some contract insuring you to part of the profits, if any are made from your photos. If they aren't profiting off the photos or using them for some form of advertising then I don't see why it would matter. I guess it depends on what your photos are used for.

Well i talked to my boss and got this worked out. Basically i'm just not going to sign it.
I do appreciate the suggestions, all in all, I'm just looking for the ability to use my photos when ever and how ever I want to in the future.
