Driver slams into 5 cars in Frankford, flees scene

FRANKFORD - June 5, 2013 (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a driver slammed into five cars then fled the scene in the city's Frankford section early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. along the 4500 block of Griscom Street.

Witnesses told Action News they saw a driver and a passenger flee the scene after striking the parked cars.

The impact sent a Lexus car onto the sidewalk and a Ford F-150 pickup into the middle of the street.

The striking vehicle is described as an enhanced Nissan 350, which was also damaged in the incident.

Police chased the two suspects on foot but they got away.

Investigators are checking out the vehicle registration and license to see if they match.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Anyone recognize the car? looks like a 350z or 370z?

It's hard to tell, but by the way the taillight goes up towards the rear window, makes me think its a black 350z.

Hmmm yes. A Magnetic Black Nismo Z34. I can see it. The wheels look like the Nismo 5-spoke Wheels, but the wing looks a little off. It looks too rounded.

I thought it looked like a 370z with either LED's retrofitted into the headlights, or aftermarket headlights.

The window curve is a dead giveaway that it's a 370z.

So the guy nice enough to leave his license in the car before he fled the scene???

Meanwhile the car was reported stolen minutes after the suspects escaped the police.
