New 18" SSRs

Some of you guys saw my new kicks last night at Red Robin. I figured I would post a few pics. Picture quality is not that good because it was very bright outside, and the car is kinda dirty... but you'll get the idea!

I've got to lower the car now. I'll post beter pics soon.

Looks great in person.

Did you remove the decals or did you order them like that?

I didn't put the decals on yet... there were 3, SSR, Competition, Semi Solid Forged.

I'm trying to decide if I wanna go with one or two decals... I think one (just the SSR decal on the right side of the wheel.) That should be fine.

Thanks.

It was a toss up between the GT3s and the Competitions. I like the GT3s very much, however, it's more of a European look. The GT3s would be great, but I think the Competitions are more consistent with the Japanese "tuning car look" (i.e. the cars you would see on the Touge or Wangan in Japan.)

I'm going for that look. ;)

P.S. The Volks and Gram Lights were on the list, but much of what I was looking for was on a 2 to 3 month back order. Had to go with the SSRs... I didn't want to go through the summer without some new jewelry to sport.

Those are the nicest wheels ever. Period. End of story. Don't the 18s weigh like 14 pounds or something? I know the 15s are 8.8 lbs....

Form and Function...

...16 pounds. That's less then the stock 17" wheels... there was a "significant difference" when I held up both wheels... I was shocked myself!

Less mass is always good!

That was another major selling point for the Competitions... the GT3s were 25 pounds at 18"

16 pounds at 18 inches... not bad at all!

they look awesome... i love the wheels. i personally would be a little skurred to own them around here though, and doubly if they were 18s. they are semi-forged which means very light, but they are going to lose if they go up against a pothole.
practice your pothole dodging and you'll be rolling around in style for a long time to come

Yeah... true dat.

I've been driving the Honda "much more" during my daily runs in the city... go figure. ;)

I'll be on the look out for the ubiquitous pothole.

Looks great.

Your camera lens is smeared though, that's what is affecting quality.

They look awesome. I've been considering those same wheels for my DSM.
