Anyone here know how to get rid of the Mosin "Sticky Bolt"?

I've tried polishing the chamber with a 20ga bore brush dipped in hoppes but that did not work. Any compounds I can try? After ejecting a shot round, they all have a small scratch on them right above the rim so I know they are catching. This scratch doesn't occur if I eject an unfired round. After 20-30 rounds the bolt gets sticky until I let things cool down a bit.

This is why my CC weapon is a S&W 40VE.. that's got more than enough stopping power to make someone think twice about breaking down my front door.

Try Joe Hurley over at Target Master if your in the Delco area. They have a pretty good shop set up there.

This was exactly the experience I had buying from the the Collectors Gun Shop in Lancaster. Very honest and knowledgeable.

Had some fun with my friend's new Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD today. He was finishing sighting in his Sig 556 so I grabbed the 700 and set up some change down on the 100 yd. backer.

The quarter and dime in the second black background pic were each hit on the first shot with 178 gr. Hornady BTHP Match which was used to sight in the rifle. It's consistantly +/- .5 MOA with the 178 gr. so at only 100 yds it was easy to hit the coins on the first shot. The other quarters (target background) were tougher. The one on the left was hit after 5 shots with the Sig 556 at 100 yards using a cheap Redfield 4x scope. That rifle shoots a consistant +/- 1.5 MOA off the bipod and a block under the butt, but at only 4x it's tough to hit a quarter. lol. The other was hit after two shots with the 700 using cheap 150 grain stuff that's way too light for the faster twist and shoots about 1.5 MOA max.

Sub 1 MOA at 100 yards is pretty good.

Managed to hit a 12"x18" target 21/30 with my WASR. 50 yards, standing shots, first time shooting it. Question however.

The ammo I shot is by TulAmmo and says non-corrosive on the box. I know the corrosive stuff needs to be cleaned ASAP. Not that I'm lazy but I don't know when I'll be able to clean the gun out. Is it going to cause any problems if I just leave it for a week?

Also, I want to keep the wood stock, but is there any kind of buttplate extension? I found rubber pads but they only add an inch or so.

If you shoot corrosive pack some Windex in your range bag and just spray some down the breech.
Or you can even piss down it before you go home. Seriously.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

If its not corrosive theirs nothing to worry about if you go a week without cleaning.
