Has anyone hooked up a MAP sensor on a 1G using the EGR Temp Pin? Did you have to use a buffer circuit? I am overrunning my 2G MAF and trying to use the MAF Clamp function in link.

I run mine through the Baro pin. No buffer needed for it. I don't see any issue using the other input. Why not just go SD?

I have V2.5 dsmlink, and with MAF clamp feature it reads off the MAP sensor after the clamp switch over point, so its like SD uptop and MAF down low and normal driving, Plus my car has been running awesome with the 2G MAF so I don't really wanna ditch it.

The reason I ask about the EGR pin is I had Wideband hooked up to it and it read all wierd, I read you need a buffer circuit to properly log wideband, not sure if its the same case for MAP.

What MAP sensors are you guys running?

Depending on the wideband, you may or may not need a buffer. My AEM needs it.

I run an Omni 4 bar MAP sensor.

Yea I have a PLX M300, and link reads 1 A/R away from the gauge and the A/R in link wont go past 11:0 and wont read less than 10:4.

I was thinking about the Omni 4 bar just because I read the GM 3Bar will read a maximum 29.Xpsi, and I am planning to run atleast 33.

so i bought a 100% stock 90 talon that supposively only needed a clutch, well 1100 in parts later and it now has an hx35 hanging from it haha, i dont have a real mods list together and i still need to get a pump, injectors and link, but shes driveable and so much fun even on stock boost levels in the hx35

Holsets are the best turbos that can be put on these cars, youll be very happy with it, I DDed over 30K miles for 4+ years on an HX35 at 30psi with over 140K on it, never gave me a single problem. I am on my second holset now, except now its a 70A/R Billet 56mm 6 blade HX40, I just wanted more power since I maxed out the hx35.

BTW this is a long shot but does anybody happen to have a Hawver Cast Intake manifold laying around that they would wanna sell?

Unfortunately, I NEVER got that type of usage out of my Holsets. I've blown apart quite a few of them @ 35 psi in the years I've owned them.

How were the oil lines run? I've seen a lot of issues people using too small of a drain line.

I'm not one of those people. My issues were related to turbine wheels melting and destroying the entire turbo.

Has anybody had any experience in merging a 1G harness into a non-DSM chassis? I've been reading plenty, but any links would be appreciated, too.
