Major Prop's to you for this Build.. I would walk past just about every Retailed 70k car to check yours out and spark up conversation because of the work done.
Well, in away it is a problem. Any RWD car will hook better then a FWD car but these cars (FWD) are coming a long way with traction. But yes I do feel like people still think it is "1999" and have a close mind. I don't care what it is, if it makes power I like it.
Here is the car on the WG spring making about 500whp ish on pump taking on a turbo GTO
notice theres not much of traction problems with no boost controller?

The turbo last season was a pte 6765 .96. Never had a issue with it and it saw 50psi a lot. This year is a s400sx 1.25.

Something mods should just get over. Street racing will happen eithet way, and half the people on here do it just don't want to admit it. I'll
Never stop racing. F that. Its just being smart about it. Not on crowded highways or stuff like that.

How does a car spin while the driver is shifting ? remember the car didn't have the slicks on in any of the videos.
Other then the fact it is a vw? Really? A lot of people need to get out of that stage where they hate something because of what company/country it was made in. A true car person would appreciate anything that makes power.

Props on building something different. You don't see many high horse VW's in comparison to stuff that's just slammed on wide wheels and stretched tires. I like it.

The point is you were arguing traction and put a video of you not hooking... If you've been into VDubs for a while cool man thats you thing but the fact of the matter is their not that great of cars and there are so many fanboys that five years ago only drove honda civics. I go to school and see so many brand new GTI's with euro tags that kids have the parents spend an absorbent amount of money on when in a year or three their going to be into somethin else, thats why I hate vdubs. Their just a passing phase with so many dick riders..

Thanks, but there is actually a bunch of people that are putting power and numbers down. 2 of my close friends are making waves in the SFWD and true street class. Todd Pavics is running a 20v in a mk3 and it runs 9.4x @ 155 and tim Mullen is running a STOCK vr6 with head gasket, head studs and main bolts and that thing is running 9.7x @152 ... Not bad for a fwd car with major traction problems right? Oh i forgot to mention these cars still drive on the streets and Todd's car has full interior

Not to mention their unreliability (Besides diesel), ****ty trans's that always blow 2nd and reverse, their oil leaks or their uncanny ability to keep their check engine light on.

Reliability-my car has 30k on the engine with no issues at all.
Trans-6 speed Trans hold up into the 10's
Oil leak- I don't even know what to say to that because it was just a dumb comment.
Every car has problems . What kind of cars are you into ? I am certain I can rip them apart.

If any car with built internals had problems at 30k that would be a user error, they are just problematic cars hands down, I dont limit my self to and "Kind of car" but my supra has 226k on it with no issues at all

So you really think if something has "built" internals it shouldn't blow up? Another dumb statement. Just because it had a built bottom end doesn't mean it is safe. If a 4cyl is making 800whp that is 200whp per cylinder. Just to make you realize something that one cylinder is making more power then these cars came from the factory with. Smarten up kid.

If it was "built" correctly it shouldn't, and its only a dumb statement cause its a volks wagen and their never safe.
