attention supra mechanics/shops

hey all, i've got a bit of a dillema.

I ordered a stage2 Veyron fuelsystem from suprastore ($2000-ish fuel system with bugatti veyron fuel pump, 1000cc injectors, rail, fpr, lines, hanger, wiring, etc), and it apparently decided to walk away from the time when it was dropped off to the time when i came home to check for the package, as in, the package is missing and nowhere to be found.

i'm not certain if it was just a ****ty job done by USPS at delivering something like this, or someone stole THIS particular package from in front of my door, but in case someone ganked it, could you folks please keep an eye out for someone getting a suprastrore Veyron Fuel system installed, this thing should be rather difficult to miss, -10 feed, -6 return, super shiny, suprastore lettering on all the aluminum pieces, veyron fuel pump, all aeroquip compression fittings, etc.

package was supposed to be delivered on may 4th, may 8th is was not there.

You had a ~$2000 package delivered without any type of insurance or signature needed?

it was sent to me that way, which i'm super pissed at them about.

i ordered it online, and picked UPS shipping, i figured i'm buying from a reputable company in florida, big ticket item like this would come signature required all that jazz etc. NOPE

they ****ing dropshipped it from canada via USPS. so yeah, they shipped my ****ing $2000 by postal service when specifically instructed to use UPS

UPS doesn't lose my packages, they take that **** to the office. Postal service just sucks, especially in my area.

Well thats not good... did they offer any insurance options, or have they offered to cover the loss?
I haven't heard good things about Suprastore.com but I don't have any direct experience with them.

Make sure it's not the company who screwed you or one of the workers at the shipping company..... I had this happen on christmas with an expensive computer I ordered. I ordered it from FAR away one night, And it said 7-10 days to ship. The next morning ups tracking said it was delivered, And it was not there . I got another one through the insurance they supplied, And then it came with signature confirmation. I believe one of the workers seen it (not in a discrete package), And marked that it was delivered when in reality it never was..

this is kind of along the lines of what i was thinking happened.

two gentlemen i'm talking to from suprastore are not willing to cover ANY costs, hence i've started a dispute with american express, who is being fantastic about it.

they're standing by their blind trust that postal service delivery confirmation actually means anything.

they babbled something about contacting people in this area:

I will look into triggering the bounty-hunting wolves of NY to find out where this missing kit went. They will find it and the details behind its disappearance. Hopefully in the interim, the kit will turn up.

Our fuel system, has no competitors (just a side note).

hmmm. what have you heard about them ?

their kit looked interesting and was well-priced for the stuff i'd be getting, but it's all worthless if i don't have the stupid thing with the car torn apart, ready for a fuel system.

Its the sellers responsibility to get the goods to the buyer, and the buyers responsibility to get the payment to the seller. They can't refuse to compensate you for this. Typically, its their job to reimburse you, and file a claim through UPS based upon their contract with UPS. You should be reimbursed, and out of the equation. Its between them and UPS after that.

Price doesn't reflect whether a signature is required or not. Also, its the delivery drivers obligation to determine if the package should be left or not. Location, size, volume, can all be attributed to that. They can choose not to deliver the package and leave a note saying a signature will be required for delivery on the next business day, with contact information, or even pickup, but that all depends on the driver. Some take pride in their jobs, others don't give a ****.

none of that was done. they never said they would give me a replacement, and when i filed a dispute with american express, they tried to tell me I'd have to pay them EXTRA or ship the oil cooler back that actually got to me that i paid for ($400-ish item) because amex froze the entire transaction.

this was dropshipped from manufacturer in canada via USPS, no signature confirmation that I see, repeated calling to my post office resulted in a bunch of conversations with folks that clearly do not want to be there, with every one of them saying they'll call me back and never actually calling back.

such a shame to ship $2000 worth of high quality parts using cheapest parcel available to save a buck.

There's your problem, you are calling them. You need to take your ass down there and get some 1 on 1 time with whoever is in charge and get some answers.

Didn't the Veryon fuel pump turn out to be another pump instead?

Once a company claims to have no competitors it shows how disenchanted with the business market they truly are. There are a couple ways to approach but I would wait to do anything drastic. Hopefully it all works out.

Just look on supraforums.com for suprastore complaints. Or google their name and scam/complaints, You might be suprised on how much bad stuff you find.

heh, allright. time to change my dispute to "i want my money back". that's what i get for being out of touch and for not reading more crap before tossing money around.

i guess i don't feel as bad with the ongoing dispute against them.

ah well, if the system did walk away from me, someone is getting a shiny new piece installed in their supra, but more than likely it's just going to end up rotting in some corner of post office.

CX227379790CA that's the tracking number they gave for the package, if there are any post office folks lurking around.

thanks all.

suprastore.com has always had a bad rep. Shipping something without sig required is THEIR issue....not yours. Amex should have no issue doing a chargeback for you...they're always on the customers side regardless of who's fault it is...it could be your fault and you'd still get your money back. LOL. Good luck man!

I thought all international orders entering the country have to be redirected to USPS to be shipped, thus might explain why you received it through USPS when you asked for UPS. Goodluck

may be so. still totally doesn't excuse the fact that they drop-shipped that much gear without checking that it's right by getting it shipped to them first. it took them like 2 weeks to get the stuff shipped in the first place, and i was more than willing to wait for it to be done right.

and totally true on the american express bit, they appear to be on my side.

speaking of fuel systems... anybody got measurements for how much -10 line i need to go from fuel pump to engine bay area in a 6 speed '94 mkiv ? i might as well just do this myself now, it might end up being more fun.
