If it was your money, used CC or used TSX?

I'm looking for a car at the moment, and I've found a few really nice local sedans as good DDs. One of them is a DSG-equipped 2010 Volkswagen CC Sport, the other is a 2008 Acura TSX with navigation and the automatic transmission.

I'm heavily leaning towards the Veedub but at the moment the Acura is rather attractive to me because my dad got his RDX at the same dealership and I think I could cut a good deal on it if I play my cards right--plus, I've driven a newer TSX and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Before you ask, they're both CPO--the CC is black, the TSX is blue.

So, which would you get and why?

depends
looks like VW offers an extra 2 year warranty beyond the balance of the factory warranty. it is also a newer car.

I'd vote CC

me, acura...honda reliability for number 1. cheaper to maintain and parts are cheaper. the 08 tsx is a tad slower down low but screams up top. never driven a cc nor do i intend to. not a fan of euro cars at all.

i loved my tsx, great reliability, great gas mileage, but in all honesty it didnt have any power down low without the hondata

with that said i would stay away from the vw, they are still known for horrible electrical issues

acura your gonna get lost in the parking lot, they're both great cars, but the cc just looks better also i believe the cc is bigger? because isnt it a passat with the 2 door coupe styling. The tsx is more sizeable to a jetta.

TSX is just an over priced already over priced Civic.

I wouldn't touch anything Euro myself.

Love the look of the previous gen TL Type S though.

Maybe look into a G8 as well?

I would go with the TSX. Sportier handling and engine sound. Definitely more reliable and cheaper to own.

Not really a big fan of the tsx, I would go with the cc. While it is from the passat platform there are quite a few differences between the two. Honestly though since it has dsg you need to have it checked out, while it's a pretty cool thing some of the older dsg(like when they first came out back in like 05) units where needing the clutches replaced at 50k I don't know if it's still an issue or not with the newer ones though.

I have no love for VW or Honda, but I would say go with the TSX. I think in the long run, it will treat you better and last longer. Hondas are reliable, plain and simple. VWs are just too notorious for having electrical issues.

The TSX is more like an accord in my opinion

I'd go for the TSX. honda reliability and good mpg

TSX all day... no Euro part pricing, and no electrical issues... plus Honda reliability AND Acura styling, can't go wrong.. unless a V6 TSX is available ;-)
