In the rules posted in the thread, it did not say alcohol was prohibited. While I know it is a park and it is against the rules, I could not find it posted in the event thread meaning people will say "Well it did not say no alcohol". Also in the entrance we went into there we no posted rules I could see either.

not sure how the long line of hecklers trying to get people to do stupid **** gave you guys more control over people doing stupid ****. I understand it's a lot easier to handle a single entrance/exit, but having it taking 30 minutes to get out is a pain in the rear. it really lead to the event be less fun for myself when we had to rush out and were met with barely being able to leave.

also to note for everyone else, don't drive on the grass there... it's a park, and it's rude to do so. further, alcohol is well against the rules for the location. if you're going to drink, don't be a dip**** and carry cases of beer around, hide it.

Someone even changed their oil too, that was interesting to find... -.-
One parking spot had like 6 glass bottles... like... WTF, not only place trash where you feel like, but possible cause a few flats too?
Idiots >_>
Anyways, all and all I think the Meet went great! Everything was all in one spot and easy to find, One way in and one way out, I remember last here how I spent such a long time searching for one car I saw in the KOP caravan, only to find it like a minute before the guy got in it and drove off. I still managed to get a few pics thank god. XD
I wasn't able to get many pics, BUT, the pics everyone else took look great! And the videos... I can't wait for more!!
So excited for next year!
There was at least 50 gallons worth of used oil and tranny fluid scattered throughout the parking lot and trash boxes. I'd say about 60% of the trash boxes we picked up had some type of automobile fluid in it. The things that make you go hmmm...

Someone talked about driving in the grass there. That "park" is an air strip. There are lights and random metal boxes all through the grass there that will mess up your car in unimaginable ways.

The thread also doesn't say you can't jerk off on peoples kids... better add that to the list for next year...

Not drinking in a public park is common sense. Isn't it a law that you can't walk around with open liquor anyway?

I do agree that it wouldn't hurt to have a few signs along the entrerence that have rules listed... but again, the things they expect really are common sense.

No need to worry people.......I was told by the Local PD that if we are back next year they will have numerous officers there most in plane clothes to aid in keeping things even more under control.

There definitely was a lot of immaturity present, but I still had a good time. I had my hood popped most of the day and I had a lot of people check it out/ask questions. My engine bay is one of the ugliest things ever produced, but I still popped it.

i'd prefer officers being there in uniform. let people know there is a police presence and to just not do **** instead of having them do **** and getting nailed. no reason to increase arrests and fines.

they're going to do what they want to do though.

If we had let 50% of the cars back into their spots it would have increased the parking timing exponentially. Spectator Parking was told that if they wanted to back their car in, to wait till the row was completed as to not create a back-up in parking area traffic.
-Parking the cars in Make or Make and Model sections would have been a nightmare, and the traffic would have been backed up right too the Turn Pike.
-Parking in designated areas takes up space witch this meet proved we nearly did not have enough of. If the areas are square footage "X" and a larger number of that make show up well there is a problem. Also if far less expected number of said make show up there is a giant hole in the parking flow.
-Finally this was a very organized "MEET" not a car show, so there is no reason to do anything with Spectator Parking but just get there, pull in and park.....enjoy the meet.
I understand completely. I think next year I'm going to have to organize a caravan to insure that we can get a group photo going. Only problem is distance, but I suppose a meet up right outside the venue will do just fine.

I do want to thank all of the volunteers and everyone that helped put this meet together.

Again, I had fun and the people that were with me also enjoyed themselves. Can't wait until next year.

Going to invest in a little 10x10 tent so I don't get burnt at meets/shows anymore.

The leap from drinking alcohol to jerking off kids is a big jump. It is a car show where people usually drink, not a pedophile convention. If there was to be no drinking post it on the forums upcoming event post where the cordinators listed:
-No vehicles on the grass
-No speeding, 10mph max limit at all times
-No burnouts
-No revving
-No loud music
-No grills (or any other device with a heating element or open flame)

The liability since not posted falls on the event holder who listed everything else.

As stated in the quote above...common sense is not to common any more. Yes there are no open containers in public, but with that people will just walk around with a solo cup or a hobo bag.

It is very true. Warrington Community Park was rented for the day for a gathering. The person who rented it is liable for the park and any liability, hence why they sell renters insurance and event insurance for such things.

I must agree. The excuse of no one said or it was not written I couldn't do ----? Is not a justification to do things your common sense/conscience/the guy next to you tells you NOT to do.

......our Justice system is flipping weak & slow IMO anyway. All wrist slapping does is create a stronger criminal state.

The renters insurance covers damage to the park. If people who came to his publicly announced meet can't follow simple rules he's not liable for anything they will just say no next time he tries to rent the space. If two cars got in a car accident on the park's property it would go through their respective insurance agencies, right?

Correct.....

The Insurance Policy only covers thing like:
-Someone ran over a persons foot while doing a non sanctioned burnout
-Trip and Fall
-Someone was cut on a vehicle while at the show
.....basically event related incidents that happened on the premises

And liability. It is the same reason bars can get sued when someone drinks to much and decides to drive drunk. Thats the liability exposure you run when hosting an event or run a business.

The park is public, but when it gets rented for an event it becomes the renters for the day to do with as he/she sees fit. Common sense is not a legal defense nor does it hold up in court. No lawyer has won a case by saying. "Well, we assume he had commons sense." Common sense is subjective, hence why we have rules and laws that need to be stated and recorded.

Now I do not want everyone thinking I am supporting the people at this event that acted like bafoons. I am merley stating what I saw, how it could be view from an insurance stand point if someone got injured, and ways to better the event next year while keeping everyone safe. While I do beleive common sense should prevail, sadly it does not nor is it a viable defense.
